An abundance of cash, crime, and fast cars is essential to being The Boss of the Saints. With the reboot of Saints Row featuring the origin of the iconic purple gang, it would be wise for players to carry around and invest in an impressive and dangerous arsenal of weapons. These weapons will make those daily threats that appear in Santo Ileso seem like a cakewalk.

Like all games in the Saints Row franchise, the 2022 reboot features a wonderful array of weapons, from the normal rifles to the downright wild. With the weapon wheel featuring a customizable loadout, many new players may wonder what the best weapons in Saints Row are.

7 Pistol: KA-1 Kobra Pistol

When players first embark on their journey through Saints Row (2022), they will be provided with a pistol that is already one of the best in the game. The KA-1 Kobra Pistol is a gift right from the beginning of the game, and remains a reliable tool throughout, especially as the default pistol.

The pistol has a fast reload, and a great snap to its aiming capabilities. As far as pistols go, this one is a great and reliable backup. It shouldn’t be the central weapon in a player’s arsenal, but with upgrades, it’s certainly a powerful option, especially when headshots automatically refill the magazine, thanks to the gun’s signature ability.

6 Melee: Smelterville Slugger

Part of the charm that comes from the Saints Row games is the absurdity in the weapons. Many fans of the series may remember the iconic yet crude Penetrator, which featured an absurdly large and inappropriate adult toy on a baseball bat. Swinging the weapon was a lot of goofy fun, but sadly, it does not return for Saints Row (2022). However, the Smelterville Slugger is just like a homerun.

The Smelterville Slugger perfectly fits into the fun of Saints Row. This melee weapon features a ton of swings and slugs to hit against enemies. However, melee weapons are rather ineffective in the new Saints Row reboot, as enemies act more as bullet sponges than weightless ragdolls. The Smelterville Slugger can be purchased from Friendly Fire.

5 SMG: D4th Blossom SMG

There have been some iconic loadouts across the franchise's games, especially in Saints Row2. SMGs are quick with their rate of fire and high ammo count, and 2022’s entry certainly stays true to the power and beauty of SMGs with the D4th Blossom SMG, which is purchasable from Friendly Fire. This weapon is a staple of Saints Row, especially when players unlock the dual wield skill later in the game.

The damage of the SMG may not seem amazing, but when paired with its rapid rate of fire and high ammo count, the gun will tear through enemy health bars like melting butter. One of the few problems with this rapid SMG is its high rate of fire means ammo will be eaten up like a bullet buffet.

4 Big Gun: RPG Launcher

It’s always a genius idea to include a high explosive powerhouse of a weapon in a player’s inventory. The RPG Launcher makes quick work of enemies and vehicles, by exploding them into nothing with just a single projectile missile. Throughout the game, enemies will become more challenging, and invest in more weapons, armor, and gear to beat the Saints. That’s when the RPG comes in.

With a purchase from Friendly Fire, this Big Gun can devastate large groups of clustered enemies. What’s even better, is that after the signature ability has been unlocked, players will find themselves firing a warhead with triple the power, just for a bigger boom.

3 Shotgun: Stagecoach Shotgun

If players are looking to feel like a cowboy in Saints Row, the Stagecoach Shotgun is the perfect gun for their amusement. After purchasing the Stagecoach Shotgun from Friendly Fire, players will wield great power, with the best damage dealt from all the shotguns in the game.

The Stagecoach Shotgun has a slow rate of fire, with a long reload time. Yet, the staggering ability, and sheer danger of its stopping power, make for a decent shotgun with a great ammo count. The ability of this shotgun allows players to destroy practically anything within its range.

2 Special: TOGO-13 Sniper Rifle

There may not be a lot of use for sniper rifles in Saints Row. This comes from the fact that combat is fast, versatile, and exists in many close and intimate forms. However, in the instances that enemies are far away, or seeking an intense and strong death, then players should look no further than the TOGO-13 Sniper Rifle, a Friendly Fire purchasable.

This sniper rifle takes up the Special slot, and it’s worth its price and position. When players unlock the signature ability, they will find themselves dealing an absurd amount of damage with headshots, whilst adding ammo to the reserves. Its maximum damage output makes peaking enemies no more.

1 Rifle: K-8 Krukov AR

A luxury to many players will be assault rifles. Squeezing the trigger, and watching bullets fly into bodies and surfaces may be a lot of fun for the mayhem-induced rampage featured in Saints Row (2022). The K-8 Krukov AR is rather basic but remains durable and deadly. It’s a standard assault rifle, but with a long magazine for intense firing.

This weapon may not be the most stylized, or the most quirky that Saints Row has to offer, but its basic level is good enough. When upgraded through Friendly Fire, the weapon is a true death machine to carry around.

Saints Row is currently available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
