Every firmware update comes with speculation and hope for new and exciting things. This time, after the newest PSP update, two new folders appeared - A NEOGEO and PCEngine folder. PCEngine is also known as TurboGrafx 16.

My first gaming system was a TurboGrafx. Granted, it only had a foot and a half controller cord on it, but the hours my family and I sat around playing Keith Courage and Bonk's Adventures were some of the best times of my life. If these rumors are true, all of the nostalgia of my childhood will be greater than when I started playing Pokemon Soul Silver.

I never owned a Neo Geo (It is pretty much the most expensive game system nowadays), but I remember games like The King of Fighters, Metal Slug, and Samurai Showdown. You can't do any wrong with old school arcade fighters and shooters.

Neo Geo games have been available for the Wii's Virtual Console, as have TurboGrafx 16 games. Additionally, a handful of Turbografx games have been available to Japan's PSP.

Are you excited for more retro gaming? Does just hearing Neo Geo or TurboGrafx bring you a sense of nostalgia? If the rumors are true, when do you think they will be coming? Do you think Sony is going to add these games into the subscription service, PlayStation Plus?
