Super Smash Bros Ultimate still has two DLC fighters left as part of its second Fighters Pass. Fans of the fighting game have speculated for a long time about what video game characters could possibly be the last two added to Super Smash Bros Ultimate.

There have been numerous leaks and rumors regarding every DLC fighter added to the game, with some characters enjoying sustained popularity within the community. Characters like Waluigi or Crash Bandicoot have been rumored for Super Smash Bros Ultimate DLC pretty much since the game released, but the newest leak suggests it may be a different character that many fans have asked for.

The new leak comes from a strange new copyright takedown from Nintendo on a tweet. With E3 just around the corner, many fans are speculating that the copyright claim indicates that the claimed content relates to Nintendo's expected reveal of the next DLC character at E3. The tweet in question showed a Doom Eternal TV ad with the game's theme song Lifelight playing over it. It is possible that the claim was over Lifelight itself, but numerous other tweets with the song in it have not seen any action by Nintendo, leading fans to speculate that it was the Doom Eternal commercial combined with the music that caught Nintendo's eye.

There have been other instances of information supporting the Doom Slayer making an appearance in Super Smash Bros Ultimate before as well. Not only did Doom Eternal's executive producer Marty Stratton say that the game's team had reached out to Nintendo regarding the possibility, but Bethesda's acquisition by Microsoft could have strengthened that possibility. There is also a fan theory that suggests Super Smash Bros Ultimate could be planning a surprise extra DLC character as well, so even if Doom Slayer is not revealed now, there could be a couple more slots for them to fit into.

Of course, all of this is just speculation at this point as Nintendo has yet to reveal any official information. There are a lot of characters that are possible DLC for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and Nintendo has given players a lot of surprise characters in the past. Fans really won't know what is coming to finish off the second Fighters Pass until Nintendo provides an official reveal. Luckily, players do not have too much longer to wait until Nintendo reveals the game's newest character at this year's E3 that is just around the corner.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is available now on Switch.
