After a Disney/Marvel shakeup that left the future of the show in unknown territory, it seems that Vision Quest is reportedly finally going into production. Rumor has it that the show is set to begin filming in October of this year, with filming reportedly taking place in the UK.

Vision Quest is geared up to be the first solo outing of Vision (Paul Bettany). The android superhero first appeared in Avengers: Age of Ultron, created by Tony Stark and Bruce Banner as a way to stop the titular villain. Since then, Vision has appeared in Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War in smaller roles, the latter of which marks the character’s death in Thanos’s quest to get the Infinity Stones. Despite this, the character costarred with the Scarlet Witch, Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) in Wandavision, the first MCU television show to air on Disney+, preceding a long line of MCU shows.

WandaVision: What Happened To White Vision?

White Vision was sent to eliminate Wanda but failed to do so and disappeared after fleeing the scene never to be found again.

According to a post by Twitter user @ScarletWitchUpd, Vision Quest will definitively begin filming this October in the UK. Not the only thing backing this theory up, however, Production Weekly listed Vision Quest to begin production as well in their most recent issue published this week. Production Weekly is a publication that lists approaching productions and jobs available for crew members to apply to. They have made errors regarding production dates before, but they are generally credible.

This news is surprising to many, as the last few months of 2023 were rough for hopeful Vision fans. Disney CEO Bob Iger revealed that the plan was to reduce the output of Disney+ shows, possibly delaying Vision Quest. Many began to worry the show was outright canceled in October, as eagle-eyed fans spotted the showrunner (and WandaVision creator) Jac Schaeffer’s WGA page was updated, removing Vision Quest from her directing credits. Luckily, if rumor outside official confirmation is believed, the show is still happening.

In WandaVision, overwhelmed by her grief of losing him, Wanda Maximoff resurrected Vision and cast a hex on the small-town population Westview, in order to lead the happy life with Vision and their two children they never got to have. White Vision, created by S.W.O.R.D. as a weapon to destroy the newly resurrected Vision, was instead given all of the real Vision’s memories, stating “I am Vision,” before flying off. Since the real Vision died once again so that Wanda could end the hex, Vision Quest will follow White Vision after his departure.
