Today, Roguebook released a brand-new update to the game. Update 1.10 not only brings Roguebook to consoles, but it also adds the new playable hero Fugoro and another play mode called Story Tournament.

The deckbuilder roguelite Roguebook is a new game by Magic: the Gathering's Richard Garfield. Originally released in the summer of 2021 after a successful Kickstarter, Roguebook featured four heroes that had been sucked into a magical book. Players have to battle their way through with ink and cards, defeating enemies, and trying to fight their way out of the pages in which they are trapped. Today, the game released its first big update, bringing new content and new versions to the roguelite.

Update 1.10 for Roguebook was released on February 24, 2022. It brought the deckbuiling game to PlayStations and Xboxes as well as adding some new DLC for purchase on PC; this new DLC adds a new hero as well as a bunch of new cards for him. For players who have unlocked Roguebook's New Run Plus, there is also a new game mode called Story Tournaments. The entirety of update 1.10 was covered in a live stream at noon by the developers.

Roguebook Releases Update with Story Tournament, Console Versions

Up until today, Roguebook was only available for PC. But with the console release, players can grab this game for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and the Xbox Series S and X. They can choose from the base title, the bundle, as well as the new hero DLC, artbook, and soundtrack. The brand-new hero is in the DLC is Fugoro, also known as the Merchant of Wonders. This hero has been seen in the pages of Roguebook before; he's the thief that swipes players' relics and flits away with them. His DLC is sold separately from the game on all platforms. Update 1.10 also added some bug fixes. However, there were no new cards for the original four heroes, no new Roguebook gems or flash gems, and no new levels.

The update also added something called Story Tournament Mode to Roguebook. This is a tournament that resets twice a day, and it allows players to pit their skills against the community. Players who have New Run Plus unlocked can participate, chasing high scores with each of the five heroes. Even if players haven't purchased the Fugoro DLC or unlocked Roguebook's Aurora, they can use them and all of their cards too. Each player uses the same seed, difficulty settings, and modifiers.

Roguebook is currently available for PC, and will be available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S/X on February 24, 2022. The Switch version will be available in April or May 2022.
