Rocket League has announced the newest in-game collaboration for the popular sports game, offering a plethora of cosmetics themed around the recently released X-Men '97. The unique sports game from developer Psyonix has often teamed up with other brands to offer crossover content, allowing players to deck out their cars with special designs. From Cars mascot Lightning McQueen to the iconic Ghostbusters van, the game offers plenty of different options to personalize players' in-game cars to their own tastes. Now, a beloved Marvel franchise is coming to the game.

The recent debut of X-Men '97 saw critical acclaim following its release on Disney+ earlier this year. The Marvel cartoon continues from where the original X-Men: The Animated Series left off, bringing back popular and iconic characters like Cyclops, Wolverine, and Professor X for a brand-new set of adventures. The revival also retained several members of the voice cast from the original series, including Cal Dodd as Wolverine and George Buza as Beast among others. Now, Rocket League is assembling the X-Men for its newest crossover.

Rocket League's newest collaboration with X-Men '97 follows another notable crossover recently running within the game. Following in the footsteps of fellow Epic Games title Fortnite, Rocket League recently saw the addition of Avatar: The Last Airbender content to the sports game. The crossover includes several cosmetics based on Avatar's main cast, with vehicle decals inspired by beloved characters like Aang and Toph. The Avatar event cosmetics were also added to the Psyonix-developed Fortnite spinoff Rocket Racing.

With Rocket League set to receive plenty of new X-Men-themed goodies for players to acquire, the game also recently welcomed its newest season. Rocket League's Season 14 debuted last month, adding a new arena with the AquaDome and two new car bodies to the game. The new season also saw the debut of the next iteration of Rocket League's "Rocket Pass," featuring multiple aquatic cosmetics for players to pick up. The Rocket League crossover with X-Men '97 looks to give fans the opportunity to show off their love for their favorite members of the iconic mutant team.
