Robert Pattinson's The Batman may be featured in Colin Farrell's upcoming The Penguin series on HBO Max. This would make Pattinson the only cinematic adaptation of Batman to don the cape and cowl in theatrical releases and on a streaming series. The Penguin series has just begun filming with Matt Reeves producing. Ferrell already teased the series, expressing a fantastic script that explores more of Oswald Copplepot and saying The Batman is just the “tip of the iceberg.” Ferrell stated that as fantastic as the makeup and prosthetics were in The Batman, Ferrell further suggests they spent even more time perfecting it for The Penguin series. However, as impressive as The Penguin is shaping up, the question on some fans’ minds is whether Batman could show up, and according to word of mouth, this could be the case.RELATED: Colin Farrell's Penguin Series Will Tie Into The Batman 2During a recent episode of The Hot Mic, film critic and Senior Film Reporter at Collider, Jeff Sneider, expressed having heard that Batman will be in The Penguin series. “Word is that Pattinson is going to appear in the Penguin series,” Sneider said, although no other details were given, and Warner Bros. Discovery and HBO Max have yet to comment on the rumor at this time. The Penguin is reportedly 6 episodes long, each being 45 minutes to an hour, presumably, so there is plenty of time for Batman to show up.

Although it makes sense for Batman or Bruce Wayne to show up in some fashion in The Penguin series, audiences should take these rumors with a grain of salt, as Sneider's track record is somewhat shaky. He was one of many critics who were outspoken in their analysis of the impossibility of Zack Snyder's Justice League coming to fruition. Even so, many aspects of The Batman ending could fit Robert Pattinson into the Penguin story. Bruce Wayne could be helping the city after the flood or as Batman in another confrontation with Penguin that may set up the sequel since the series will deal with Penguin's takeover of Gotham, which was insinuated in a cut scene from The Batman.

Casting news has continued for The Penguin, with Sofia Falcone played by Cristin Milioti and Alum Rhenzy Feliz in a mysterious role. Production is supposed to last 5 to 6 months, so if Pattinson's Batman appears in The Penguin, audiences may find out soon.

The Batman is streaming on HBO Max.
