Many people are curious about what's happening with Rob Zombie's upcoming take on The Munsters. Thanks to the director's social media, fans can now see a very spooky logo to go with the Peacock film. It looks pretty familiar, but with a twist.

The post is captioned "A view of my chair in front of the monitors" and features an image of the back of his director's chair with the Munsters logo on it. The logo for the Peacock film is not too different from the one that went with the original sitcom, something that should make fans of the source material happy. He's kept the iconic "The Munsters" font that appears to be made of dripping slime but has added spider webs between the letters.

Zombie has long been a part of the horror film community, making several horror movies over the years. This includes his controversial remake of John Carpenter's Halloween. His usual style doesn't really go with something like The Munsters, so fans have been very skeptical of this film ever since it was announced. With that being said, Zombie appears to be a big fan of the source material. He even released a song in 1998 called "Dragula," which is a reference to Grandpa Munster's car. The music video also mimicked some elements of the show.

The Munsters originally aired on CBS in 1964. It was a family-friendly gothic sitcom about a family of Transylvanian-American monsters. The series was often thought of as a commentary or satire on stereotypical American families living in the suburbs. The family-friendly and funny nature of the original work is what directly contradicts the usual style of Zombie. Generally, his works are very gritty and the exact opposite of family-friendly. Films of his like House of 1000 Corpses are not only incredibly gory and violent but also profanity-laden.

From what's been seen so far, the remake has a few traits of Zombie's previous work (though he did cast his own wife Sheri Moon Zombie as Lily Munster) and a lot of traditional Munsters trademarks. The new logo is very akin to the original one, as is the set design as well as the costumes and makeup looks that have been seen.

The Munsters infamously aired in black and white, and all of Zombie's set photos have been shared in black and white as well. There is no confirmation, however, as to whether the film itself will be in color.

The Munsters is supposed to release in the autumn of 2022 both in theaters and on Peacock.
