Near the end of the one-minute video, viewers learn that a new bonus Risk of Rain 2 map will also become available when the game launches on Stadia. An alternate fourth-stage map created by indie game development studio Ghostpunch, Sundered Grove will initially be a timed exclusive for Stadia and it’s not known when the level will be released on other platforms.

Developed by Hopoo Games and published by Gearbox, the action roguelike title crash lands players onto an alien planet where they must battle their way through hordes of monsters. Risk of Rain 2 features over 75 unique items to loot and can be played either solo or multiplayer, with up to four friends fighting through randomized stages, enemies, and bosses.

In a Dev Thoughts diary released in September 2020 on Steam, Hopoo Games stated that it plans to release paid expansion DLCs for Risk of Rain 2 at the rate of one or two per year, which will help the studio expand the dev team and cover the cost of porting the game to consoles.

Risk of Rain 2 is available on PC, PS4, Switch, Xbox One, and will be released soon on Google Stadia.
