As players dive into the Steam early access release of Hopoo Games' new multiplayer roguelike shooter, Risk of Rain 2, they will need to be able to locate the teleporter that spawns in each level. Indeed, these teleporters are the key to advancing through the game, but finding them is often easier said than done.

How to Find Teleporters in Risk of Rain 2

As it stands, Risk of Rain 2's teleporters can be quite challenging to locate. This is because they have a very dark appearance, which causes them to be a bit indistinguishable from their surroundings, especially in the game's darker environments.

Unfortunately for players that are looking for a quick method to make things easier, there really is not one currently. As such, players will simply need to keep their eyes open for two dark spikes protruding from the ground — the demarcation of a teleporter. While searching in this fashion may feel a bit tedious, it can be used as an opportunity to get lunar coins in Risk of Rain 2.

All of that said, there are a couple of other visual indicators that can provide slight assistance when looking for a teleporter. Namely, there is an inverted arch symbol floating above them, which can help guide a player's attention. Additionally, there are red and orange particles floating around teleporters — these can be spotted from some distance, and they are often easier to see than the teleporter itself.

There is also indication that teleporters typically spawn on the primary surface of a level. It is thus advisable to search these areas before exploring the floating platforms.

Of course, when a teleporter is located, it can be used to access the level's boss and proceed to the next area. If players happen to be the one to find the teleporter, be certain to utilize Risk of Rain 2's ping system to notify your teammates of its location.

The difficulty of finding teleporters has already become a point of discussion among the community, and it is possible that Hopoo Games will initiate a change to simplify things. However, for now, players will simply need to work with what is available as they work towards advancing through the game and earning Risk of Rain 2 character unlocks.
