With Team Ninja having cut its teeth in the action role-playing genre with its most recent releases, Rise of the Ronin represents the studio's latest attempt at delivering high-octane action with a choice-driven narrative to pull players in. The signature intense combat has gotten some tweaks, and players can expect to make some major choices to determine how their stories unfold.

While moving forward, there is also time for the developers to look back and celebrate their past wins. This is represented by the presence of both a familiar armor set as well as a beloved character being in the mix. Where to Find William Adams and Yasuke Armor From Nioh in Rise of the Ronin

It should be no surprise that the two are linked, and players can get a dose of Nioh in Rise of the Ronin about halfway through the game, with the action shifting to Edo from Yokohama. Here, players will need to make their way over to the region of Shiba. From the nearby faction HQ, head east towards the coastline, just southeast of the bridge.

For easier identification, the location is a cave along the coast just beneath where a cat can be found. Enter the cave to find the Blue-Eyed Samurai lying in wait. As with his general demeanor in Nioh, William Adams doesn't do much talking before turning aggressive against the player for invading his space.

How to Beat William Adams From Nioh in Rise of the Ronin

Using his combat stances from the game, Adams is a force to be reckoned with if you are unprepared. His swift moves with the katana hit hard and fast, so it is best for players to understand his attack patterns first before going aggressive.

• Most of his attacks are combos that require Counterspark Chains to negate. A four-hit combo can be followed up by the same sequence if he recovers his Ki. If you see the blue light surrounding him, get ready to use Counterspark Chain again. Another variation of the combo is two quick slices followed by a kick off the player or three slices in quick succession.
• He does a 2-hit or 3-hit spinning slice when players are near, so watch out for the attack and block or parry if need be.
• Adams can also use the player to launch into the air, followed by a Martial Arts skill that smashes down. If you are not confident about the timing, it might be wiser to dodge away.
• At range, if you see him sheathing his sword, he is preparing to rush toward the player for a damaging slash; countering this will open up a good window to deal damage.

By defeating Adams, players will be rewarded with the Yasuke Helmet, Armor, Gauntlets, and Knee Pads, along with the Nioh-ryu combat style, which gets stronger the more Shrines players pray at. In the cave, a bunch of treasure chests can be opened for more loot.

The Yasuke Armor set will likely be among the best equipment players can get their hands on when the opportunity to obtain it arises.
