Xbox Game Pass is partnering with Riot Games for a series of exclusive benefits available to League of Legends, Wild Rift, Valorant, Legends of Runeterra, and Teamfight Tactics players. In June, Xbox announced that it was bringing Riot Games' free-to-play offerings to Game Pass on PC. The effort appears to have been a success, as Xbox is now working to make even more players treat Game Pass as their home for League of Legends and Riot's other games. The launch of League of Legends, Wild Rift, Valorant, Legends of Runeterra, and Teamfight Tactics wasn't simply a matter of making the games available through Game Pass, of course. The partnership also included a variety of benefits for those who played through Game Pass. For example, all champions are unlocked in League of Legends, and similarly, all Agents are unlocked in Valorant. Players wouldn't have to unlock them on their own.RELATED: Riot Games Offers Update on Project L GameplayThe latest confirmation from Riot Games is that even more benefits will be given to those playing on Xbox Game Pass. For example, not only will all League of Legends players still have access to all champions, including newly released ones, but they'll also have a passive 20% XP boost. XP is earned by playing League of Legends matches and can lead to a variety of rewards upon leveling up, though the most common reward is hilariously currency used for unlocking champions.

Similar types of rewards are being added for all Game Pass-supported games. Wild Rift also gains a 20% XP boost. Valorant players will receive a 20% bonus match XP for the Battle Pass, Event Pass, and Agent Contract progress. Teamfight Tactics players gain 4 Arena Skins, though after April 2023 it turns into a single rotating monthly Arena Skin. Legends of Runeterra doesn't actually change substantially, though access to the full Founder's Set remains available.

Those are just the larger rewards announced for Game Pass, though. In addition to the larger rewards, there's a small prize for each game. League of Legends players get a Masterwork Chest and Key. Wild Rift players get a Random Emote Chest. Valorant players receive a Pocket Sage Buddy. Legends of Runeterra players get a Prismatic Chest. Lastly, Teamfight Tactics players get a Little Legend Rare Egg.

Altogether, Microsoft is trying to make a persuasive argument for Riot Games players to play their chosen game through Game Pass rather than through Riot's own launchers. For Game Pass subscribers, whether on PC or mobile, there's really no reason not to take advantage of the added benefits.
