Rhythm Heaven is one of Nintendo's secret gem franchises. The music and timing-based series is wacky and over the top in all the best ways. And now, according to the creator, it may have a shot of continuing on the Nintendo Switch.

The franchise started in 2006 on the Game Boy Advance, under the name Rhythm Tengoku. The first time the game really took off, however, was with the Rhythm Heaven for the DS. The game continued to do well, with Rhythm Heaven Fever reviewing well on the Wii, and the most recent game made it onto the 3DS as sort of mashup and best hits version of the game called Rhythm Heaven Megamix.

Unfortunately for fans, the game seems to have gone on hiatus after the 2016 3DS release, which is why any information about a Switch release is exciting. Recently a fan Tweeted at Tsunku, the creator of Rhythm Heaven, asking for a Switch version of the game, noting that many people would enjoy it. He responded back by saying he agreed. He asked for the fans to "Raise your voice together!" in asking for Rhythm Heaven on the Switch.

Part of the reason for the break in Rythm Heaven titles could because of the WarioWare series, which is developed by mostly the same team. WarioWare (which is among the list of GBA games that could continue to see a comeback) also saw a 3DS game, but two years more recently than Rhythm Heaven. The games share a lot of the same quirky, crazy, and hilarious DNA.

Rhythm Heaven is one of the best rhythm video games of all time. As the Nintendo Switch continues to add to its amazing catalog, this crazy and wonderful title would be a beautiful addition.
