Debuting back in 2014 with the first Titanfall, Respawn Entertainment has spent the last nine years pretty much knocking it out of the park. While its games don't have the best reputation for being all that great technically upon their initial release, Respawn Entertainment is a studio that clearly takes fan feedback to heart, and with each new game, it tries to push more boundaries, deliver new and exciting experiences, and meet ever-growing fan expectations. For the most part, it succeeds in doing that.

This year, Respawn Entertainment released Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. Though it suffered from the aforementioned technical issues, it was still by all accounts a good game and a great sequel. Respawn also had yet another good year with Apex Legends, marking its 4th year of existence. But 2024 is going to be the 10th anniversary of Respawn's first game, and it could end up being another big year for the studio.

There are countless different ways the Star Wars Jedi franchise could evolve and change over the years, but there's one line it should never cross.

Respawn Will Keep Updating Apex Legends Throughout 2024

Apex Legends has been going for four years now, meaning that 2024 will mark its 5th anniversary. Though no official plans have been confirmed by Respawn, it seems likely that the studio will want to celebrate this momentous occasion with some kind of in-game event, likely taking place in February, the game's original release month. Coincidentally, Apex Legends' current Season is set to end in February 2024, which could pave the way perfectly for a big 5th-anniversary celebration.

Even if Apex Legends doesn't get a big 5th-anniversary in-game event, it shows absolutely no signs of stopping just yet, and it seems likely that Respawn will continue updating the game consistently throughout 2024, just as it has done since 2019. Apex Legends is also set to receive a Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth collaboration on January 9, 2024, kicking off the new year in style with new crossover skins.

Respawn Might Reveal More About Its Star Wars Games

Respawn's Star Wars FPS Could Be Revealed

All the way back in January 2022, Lucasfilm announced that Respawn Entertainment - partnered with EA - would be producing three new games under the Star Wars license. The first of these was Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, which didn't have an official title at the time. The next game that Lucasfilm announced was a brand new Star Wars FPS game being developed by Respawn Entertainment, with Star Wars veteran Peter Hirschmann taking the helm. Nothing more has been revealed about this Star Wars FPS since January 2022, meaning that it's more than possible for Respawn to reveal it at some point in 2024.

Respawn's Star Wars Strategy Game Could Be Revealed

The final game that Lucasfilm announced back in January 2022 was a new Star Wars strategy game, being developed by a new studio named Bit Reactor, and published by Respawn Entertainment. It was also announced that Greg Foerstch would be helming this Star Wars strategy game, which many fans were pleased with due to the creator's long history with Firaxis games like XCOM and Civilization. Again, much like Respawn's Star Wars FPS, nothing official has come out about this Star Wars strategy game since January 2022, meaning that it could be revealed in 2024.

While a Star Wars Jedi: Survivor sequel could be on the cards for the future, the chances of it being revealed in 2024 are probably very low. And though it could still get DLC, Respawn doesn't really have a track record for that sort of thing.

Respawn Might Reveal Steve Fukuda's Next Game

Titanfall 2 Key Art Ultimate Edition

Back in May of this year, Respawn Entertainment's Vince Zampella let slip that Steve Fukuda is working on a new game at Respawn. Best known for being the lead designer on the Titanfall series, Fukuda is apparently leading a very small team on a project that's entirely new, with Zampella in that original interview being very clear to state that it's not a new Titanfall game. That being said, 2024 is the 10th anniversary of the Titanfall franchise, and Respawn knows just how eager fans are for a sequel. It would be a shame if Respawn did nothing at all for Titanfall's 10th anniversary.
