Capcom releases new screenshots for Resident Evil Zero HD Remaster, showing off some of the game's new costumes for both Billy Coen and Rebecca Chambers.

Thanks to the sales success of Resident Evil HD Remaster, the announcement of Resident Evil Zero HD Remaster was expected by most fans of Capcom's premiere survival horror franchise. The game will be available in a little over a month, and in anticipation of its release, Capcom has revealed new unlockable costumes that will be appearing in Resident Evil Zero HD Remaster.

Both protagonists of Resident Evil Zero HD Remaster will have some new threads come the game's release in January. Rebecca Chambers will have access to a cheerleader outfit, reminiscent of one of her costumes from Resident Evil: Deadly Silence on the DS, as well as a t-shirt with the Resident Evil Zero logo on it. Rebecca's partner in the game, the mysterious Billy Coen, will have a new costume based on the classic Capcom video game Commando.

Unlockable costumes are a great way to boost replayability in a game, especially one that originally released over a decade ago. Returning players also have an updated control scheme to look forward to, as well as improved graphics, if the Resident Evil Zero reveal trailer is anything to go by.

Capcom has said that HD Remasters will be a priority for the company moving forward. Some fans could see this as a company simply porting as many of their games as possible to new systems with minimal improvements, but Capcom so far has not been lazy with their remasters.

As can be seen in both the Resident Evil HD Remaster as well as the Resident Evil Zero HD Remaster, Capcom is adding decent value to the experience. Players can look forward to these new costumes, improved graphics, and an enhanced control scheme (along with the option to use the classic tank controls) when Resident Evil Zero HD Remaster releases next month.

What do you think about the new costumes coming to Resident Evil Zero in the game's remaster? Resident Evil Zero HD Remaster will be available digitally on January 19th for PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. It will also be available as a physical bundle with Resident Evil HD Remaster as Resident Evil Origins Collection.
