The internet was taken by storm when Resident Evil Village introduced Lady Dimitrescu, an unearthly tall vampire lady that completely captured the attention of everyone, not just Resident Evil fans. The eighth installment in the franchise, Resident Evil Village looks to be a very promising title, especially thanks to the three demos that have been released. The “Maiden” and “Castle” demos have primarily focused on Lady Dimitrescu and her castle, with the latter confirming that her name is pronounced without the “u.” Though some fans may have mispronounced her name, Lady Alcina Dimitrescu has still captivated anyone remotely interested in Resident Evil Village.
She’s over 9-feet tall, a supposed vampire, and has a beautiful character design, so it’s no wonder that many people latched onto Lady Dimitrescu so quickly. Though Resident Evil Village won’t be out for a little while longer, fans are still obsessing over the head of Castle Dimitrescu. While it may seem surprising that many people are so obsessed with someone who will definitely be a villain in Resident Evil Village, this isn’t the first time the internet has fallen for a villain. While there’s still much to be explored about Lady Dimitrescu, her “daughters,” and Castle Dimitrescu, fans can look at the screenshots already released of the powerhouse vampire lady.
Lady Dimitrescu and Her Daughters
This screenshot of Lady Dimitrescu shows her towering above the player character, Ethan Winters, with her daughters surrounding her. This was one of the first glimpses players had at the full design and height of Lady Dimitrescu. It also serves as a great reference for cosplayers because it’s a full-body shot of her entire ensemble. She’s incredibly intimidating in this scene, but also incredibly powerful.
The second screenshot almost seems a bit less sinister, but that’s because Lady Dimitrescu’s smile definitely has something to hide. There hasn’t been as much buzz surrounding the daughters of Alcina Dimitrescu, but they’re actually the ones who have been given a bigger spotlight in terms of showcasing their powers. Both the “Maiden” and “Castle” demos showed how terrifying they can be, though the latter actually allowed the player character to get hurt.
An Important Phone Call with Mother Miranda
Not much is known about Mother Miranda, but it seems the character will play a major role in Resident Evil Village. In this screenshot, Lady Dimitrescu is on the phone with Mother Miranda, stating that Ethan Winters has escaped from her brother, Karl Heisenberg. She also tells the as-yet-unseen character that Ethan is already proving to be too much for her daughters to handle. Though players cannot hear Mother Miranda’s words, she seemingly gets cross and states the importance of “the ceremony,” which Lady Dimitrescu agrees is important.
The Better to Kill Players With, My Dear
Another screenshot circulating the internet was the reveal of Lady Dimitrescu’s giant claws at the end of the “Maiden” demo. Players don’t get to see much of the Lady during the demo, but that seems to be because it saves her for the very end. In the “Maiden” demo, players explore Castle Dimitrescu as a maiden who has seemingly been picked for something concerning the Dimitrescu household. Though players don’t get to see Lady Dimitrescu kill the maiden, it’s definitely implied when her claws come out and she lunges at the camera.
‘Let’s See How Special You Are…’
This screenshot was actually shown briefly in the Resident Evil Village announcement trailer but has gained more traction with the fourth trailer release. A more fleshed-out scene is shown during the fourth trailer, where Ethan Winters seems to cut open his own hand and allows Lady Dimitrescu to drink from it. This further solidifies the vampire theory and shows how Alcina Dimitrescu has a taste for blood. What she can taste in Ethan’s blood is still unknown, but fans are definitely excited to see that scene played out in full when Resident Evil Village releases.
The internet’s obsession with Lady Dimitrescu is probably only just beginning given the fact that the full game hasn’t even been released yet. Until players get to see Alcina Dimitrescu in the full game, they can rely on these screenshots circulating around to get their fill of the tall vampire lady.
