As players explore Castle Dimitrescu in Resident Evil Village, they will eventually find themselves navigating across the structure's Rooftops. Fans that want to turn this area blue on their maps before they move on must collect a total of six items, and one in particular is quite difficult to locate. For those Resident Evil Village players that may be having some trouble tracking down all of the items on the Rooftops, this guide here is to provide assistance.

Perhaps the easiest way to showcase the locations of all of the Rooftops items in Resident Evil Village is with a map, and indeed one can be found below. Additionally, there are descriptions underneath the map, which should clarify exactly how each of the items are accessed. Players should also note that the items are listed in order that creates a very efficient route across the Rooftops, though it is certainly not requisite that they be collected in that order.

Resident Evil 8: Rooftop Item Locations

  1. Break the pot for one Rusted Scrap.
  2. Break the pot for 260 Lei.
  3. Break the pot for 380 Lei.
  4. Pick the Gunpowder from the windowsill.
  5. Shoot the twinkling spot just above the tower window to reveal a Crystal Fragment.
  6. Break the pot for 120 Lei.

Of these six items, it is the Crystal Fragment marked as "5" on the map that is likely to cause the most problems. Indeed, this item is very well hidden, and players may pass the tower that it is embedded into many times without ever seeing it. Considering just how valuable Crystal Fragments in Resident Evil Village are, it is not too surprising that this one is so difficult to find.

To note, the Rooftops are certainly not the only area with hard-to-find items in it, and Resident Evil Village's Courtyard is another one that may give fans trouble. More specifically, there is an Herb hidden amidst some foliage in the Courtyard, and tracking it down can be quite chore. While that item may not be as desirable as the Rooftops' Crystal Fragment, players that are trying to turn their maps blue will still need to grab it.

That said, there is not a ton of incentive for fully clearing areas in this fashion, as there are no Resident Evil Village trophies or achievements associated with the act. Even still, completionists will undoubtedly want to pickup every item that they can, and hopefully this guide has made it easier for them to do exactly that.

Resident Evil Village is out now on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
