Resident Evil games are always filled with puzzles to keep players on their toes. Resident Evil Village is no different. One of the hardest puzzles to solve takes place in the Beneviento house. Once Ethan takes the elevator down to the basement and enters the medical room, the lights will go out.

When sight finally returns, Ethan's inventory will be wiped and a doll of Mia will be laying on the medical table. The puzzle has begun and Ethan must figure out how to get back up the elevator. That is easier said than done, however.

Rip Apart The Body

Items obtained from the mia doll in resident evil village

The first move is to take apart the Mia doll on the table. Players will obtain a few items this way and discover a couple of clues to help them get farther. Examine the left arm to find a symbol placed in the socket and remember it for later.

Next, examine the left shoulder to obtain the Silver Key. Head over to the other side of the body and start at the leg. Examine the right leg to obtain the Winding Key. Examine the right hand to get a Blood Covered Ring. Lastly, the right eye can be turned to reveal an image on the pupil. Ignore the mouth of the doll for now.

Get The Wedding Ring

Thanks to the proper inspection of the body in step one, Ethan can now use the Silver Key to access the supply room. Use the Silver Key on the door near the examination table. Once inside, players should notice a sink on the left side of the supply room. Turn on the water and put the Blood Covered Ring under the water to wash it off and change it into the Wedding Ring item.

View the ring through the inventory menu and turn it around to find a code written on the inside. The code is 052911. This code can be used on the number lock that is on the main door of the medical room. Input the code to unlock it and gain access to the hallway.

Complete The Music Box Puzzle

Next up on the list, Ethan needs to wander down the hall until he reaches the first room. This door will automatically open up as Ethan gets close to it to signal him in. Enter the room and look around the table to find a music box. Use the Winding Key on the box to activate the music box puzzle.

It can be a little confusing at first, but the answer is rather simple. The music box has multiple scratches etched into it. Line up all of the scratches from left to right and play the box. This will open the box and give Ethan access to a pair of Tweezers.

Time To Watch A Film

Resident Evil Village Film puzzle

With the Tweezers in hand, head back to the Mia doll. Open the doll's mouth and use the tweezers to pull out a Film Strip. Take the Film Strip and head down the hall to where the elevator is located. Near the elevator is another door that most players will notice when they first enter the area. Head into the Study and place the Film with the others on the rack.

The solution to this puzzle is near next to the projector on the desk. The film order is as follows, the stuffed animals, the storybook, Rose, the music box, and the last in the order is Mia's hand. Activate the projector to play out a film and open a new pathway behind the screen.

Unlock The Symbol Door

Enter the newly discovered pathway to find a pair of Scissors. Underneath where the Scissors are found is some gauze the is strung up on the wall. Cut the gauze and head through the hole into another hallway. Follow the hallway and make note of the door that has the symbol of a mother on it. It will be used later on.

Keep following the hallway back to the supply room and go back to the Mia doll. Use the Scissors on the chest to cut off the gauze and retrieve the Brass Medallion. Take the hallway to the left of the double doors in the medical room. This will lead Ethan to a door with three symbols.

Place the Brass Medallion in the large circular area. The other two symbols will have been seen already. The bottom symbol of the door will match up to the one found in the Mia doll's arm. It is a symbol of three closed eyes. The left symbol is the same as the one found in the Mia doll's right eye, a bird facing to the right.

Get The Key To The Breaker Box

Now that the door is open, Ethan can make his way down the dark staircase to a circular room with a well in the middle. Head down into the well to find the Breaker Box Key. Grab the key and head back to where the Mia doll is. This time the lights will be off and the objective will be to turn the power back on.

This sounds easy, but it's actually where the fun begins. Head back to where the elevator is and Ethan will come face to face with a gigantic screaming baby. Give it the runaround and make it back to the elevator where the breaker box is. It is easy to spot on the left side of the elevator. Once it is open, Ethan will receive the Relief of a Child.

Get The Fuse And Earn Freedom

Fuse location in Resident Evil Village

Remember the door with the mother? Good. Head back to that door and place the Relief of a Child on it. This will unlock the door and allow Ethan to get to the kitchen and bedroom. Follow the path down and through the kitchen. Get to the bedroom to find another box on the wall that contains the Fuse. Head back to the door to get greeted by the big baby again.

This time, Ethan can't just run it around an area as all the pathways are pretty tight. Lead the baby to the bedroom where Ethan can hide under the bed. Once the baby is on the other side of the bed, back out from under it and run for the exit. Head back to the breaker box and place the Fuse inside.

Now all that is left is to avoid the baby while the elevator comes back down. The puzzle is done when Ethan activates the elevator and escapes the darkness, but Benevieto isn't done yet.
