Capcom continues to tantalize Resident Evil fans with more and more information about Resident Evil Village. Whether it's bigger reveals, like that of Lady Dimitrescu, or smaller reveals, like the recent reveal of a mysterious masked character, Capcom's biggest confirmation is that fans have only seen a glimpse of the bigger game. Now Capcom's back with another two such teasers, this time revealing a map of Resident Evil Village as well as art of one of the game's most mysterious characters, Mother Miranda.

Both of the new teaser images were shared by Capcom through IGN, so details about each image are thin and somewhat filtered. Luckily, the map image speaks for itself. The Resident Evil Village map is laid out like a classic Castlevania map, with key locations highlighted in varying detail. The four most prominent locations are Castle Dimitrescu, House Beneviento, Heisenberg's Factory, and lastly Moreau's Reservoir.

Separate from the larger four locations on the Resident Evil Village map are several smaller locations where the writing isn't as easy to make out. Some of these locations have more generalized titles, like "Windmills," "Sluice Gate," "Ceremony Site," and "Suspension Bridge." Other locations seem like proper nouns, like "Maiden of War," "Luiza's Houses," "Otta's Mill," and "The Stronghold."  There are several unnamed locations with interesting artistic detail, otherwise. For example, the giant monster within the lake by the Sluice Gate, or the bat monster above Castle Dimitrescu.

As for the other image shared by Capcom, it shows a framed painting of the character Mother Miranda. Mother Miranda is shrouded in mystery, for the time being. She's known to be a figure of worship in the village where Resident Evil Village begins, but also seems to be a very literal person. Lady Dimitrescu is shown talking to Mother Miranda on the phone in a recent trailer. The painting makes Mother Miranda out to be a larger-than-life holy figure, with a jeweled halo around her head and the robes of a priest or holy figure.

Between the map and the new image featuring Mother Miranda, Resident Evil fans have two new clues with which to continue piecing together that larger Resident Evil Village mystery. A dedicated Resident Evil fan, with all of the leaks and Capcom's own trailers and teaser, could perhaps put together the game's overall plot. Of course, knowing the plot isn't half of playing a horror game.

With less than a month until Resident Evil Village launches, there's only so much more that Capcom can share. The nearness of Resident Evil Village's launch could mean that these latest reveals are particularly important, too. Soon, all secrets shall be revealed.

Resident Evil Village releases May 7 on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
