For fans who have been waiting to see another villainous role from Maggie Robertson, her character in Baldur’s Gate 3 seems like it won’t disappoint.

There’s no doubt that Lady Dimitrescu from Resident Evil Village is Maggie Roberson’s most well-known role. Dimitrescu, a vampire mutant-like creature, became an instant favorite with Resident Evil fans with her captivating appearance and terrifying demeanor. Not only did Robertson provide her voice talents for the role, but she also performed the motion capture for the character. Robertson’s performance as Lady Dimitrescu left a lasting impact on the Resident Evil franchise as a whole and set a high bar for future performances in the video game industry.

After Maggie Robertson won best performance for her role in Resident Evil Village, many fans wondered when she would next play a video game villain. It’s now been announced that Robertson will be playing the character of Orin the Red in Baldur’s Gate 3. Orin the Red is a sadistic shape-shifter who, throughout the game, will test the resolve of the player. Much like Lady Dimitrescu, Orin the Red will stand out due to her physical appearance, with her entirely white eyes, red bodysuit, and intriguing smoke patterns that shift around her skin. The goal of this character is to trick the player into choosing the wrong path throughout the game.

Baldur’s Gate is a well-renowned RPG series that’s set in the Forgotten Realms world of Dungeons & Dragons. The original Baldur’s Gate was released in 1998 and was hailed as one of the best RPGs ever made. Its sequel, Baldur’s Gate 2, featured improved graphics, enhanced features, and a massive storyline. The series continues to hold a respected place within the gaming community with its complex gameplay mechanics, immersive world-building, and engaging storytelling. Recently, the game made headlines when it was revealed that Baldur’s Gate 3 will have 174 hours worth of cutscenes, an impressive feat, even by today’s cutscene-heavy standards.

In Baldur’s Gate 3, Maggie Robertson joins a few other big names that fill out the star-studded cast, including Jason Isaacs, who’s best known for playing Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter series, and JK Simmons, who most people know as J.
