The journey through Resident Evil: Village is an intense and arduous one. Ethan gets absolutely man-handled throughout most of it and as the adventure progresses it only gets harder. Puzzles get more cryptic, locations get harder to navigate, and monsters start hitting way, way harder. Thankfully, there are ways to prepare for this difficulty spike past upgrading and finding weapons. Thanks to The Duke, Ethan can cook fancy meals that will enhance his health, movement speed, and blocking abilities.

All The Duke asks in return is for players to find ingredients sprinkled throughout the Village and its surrounding areas. Unfortunately, this is easier said than done for some of the more intensive recipes. Take, for example, the Tochitura de Pui. This fantastic dish will upgrade Ethan's health by a great amount, and the best part is that the upgrade is permanent. This is definitely an upgrade you'll want to chase first and foremost because the enemies in Resident Evil: Village only get stronger as you progress.

What Juicy Game Is Used For

The recipe for Tochitura de Pui calls for:

  • 4 x Poultry.
  • 3 x Meat.
  • 1 x Juicy Game.

The poultry and meat are pretty easy to come across. You'll snag poultry from the array of chickens sprinkled throughout the village itself. Meat can be grabbed from pigs and goats, which are a bit harder to find. There's also a fantastic "meat stash" that you can uncover near Otto's Mill, but it's definitely an area that's off-the-beaten-path. If you're struggling to find it, be sure to check out our guide on it here.

Where To Find Juicy Game Meat

Finding the Juicy Game is a much more confusing task. Those unaware might assume that this particular meat is gained from slaying hooved wildlife they haven't come across yet or given as a rare drop from goats and pigs. The truth is, a bit strange, and it's no wonder some players are struggling to find this seemingly rare drop.

  • Head to the Graveyard to the left of the Church on the Village Map.
  • Hunt the Blue Bird.

The Juicy Game doesn't come from a hooved animal at all, but rather a rare Blue Bird that only shows up in the Village Graveyard after you've completed your escape from Castle Dimitrescu. You'll spot the bird resting on a branch next to the gated mausoleum opposite of where you found the shrine containing the first Goat of Warding at the start of the game. To spot it, put the mausoleum in your sights and then look up and to the right of it at the nearby trees. You should be able to spot the bird perched on one of the branches.

You can take it down with any ranged weapon but a good (and safe) choice might be the F2 Rifle you picked up in Castle Dimitrescu just past the Atelier. Zooming in will help you see the bird easier and line up a clean shot.

Once you pick up the Juicy Game, you can return to The Duke at the nearby Altar with the rest of your ingredients and increase Ethan's health permanently.
