Resident Evil Village is the latest mainline entry to the long-running survival horror franchise. Although previous Resident Evil games have since deviated away from survival horror, it is apparent that Resident Evil Village and its direct predecessor Resident Evil 7 have since returned to the franchise's roots.

Putting more emphasis on resource management, Resident Evil Village players face the difficult challenge of conserving their ammo and health items while surviving terrifying enemies. Although Resident Evil Village is filled with tense and horrific moments, the game also features more action-oriented gameplay, making resource management trickier. However, in classic Resident Evil style, Resident Evil Village does offer the option of playing the game with infinite ammo, and here is a breakdown of how to unlock this fun feature.

How To Unlock Infinite Ammo in Resident Evil Village

Given that having unlimited ammo would make Resident Evil Village easier to play, players must first go through several hoops in order to unlock it. The first step is to complete the main story first to unlock Challenges and the Extra Content Shop. These post-game unlockables encourage multiple playthroughs given that new goals become available for players to complete. Completing a challenge would reward players with Completion Points (CP), which they can use to purchase infinite ammo weapons. Apart from infinite ammo, CP can also be used to acquire other bonuses such as new weapons and concept art.

It is worth noting that before players can even purchase infinite ammo weapons with Completion Points, they must first have all available weapon attachments and upgrades for a specific firearm. This can be achieved by purchasing upgrades from The Duke and scouring for parts scattered around the game's locations. After meeting all necessary conditions, players can now unlock infinite ammo on individual weapons, but it is important to remember that the number of Completion Points required would differ from one weapon to another.

The number of Completion Points required to unlock infinite ammo would ultimately depend on the power of the weapon. As an example, the infinite ammo version of the Grenade Launcher requires 80,000 CP, while the infinite ammo for the USM-AI Handgun costs 40,000 CP. Although unlocking infinite ammo does make the game easier, the game doesn't consider it as a cheat given all the requirements players must go through to unlock it. Additionally, using infinite ammo weapons does not disable achievements and trophies.
