Debuting exclusively on PlayStation over the last week, Resident Evil Village has been getting a spate of early previews ahead of its official launch on May 7. Last Saturday, PS4 and PS5 owners were able to jump into a 30-minute adventure through the halls of Lady Dimitrescu's ominous castle, while they were treated to a preview of the game's titular village setting the weekend prior.

PC and Xbox players will be able to join the fun later this week, and thanks to a last-minute change of plans over at Capcom, it seems they'll have a longer window to enjoy the experience. Announced via the publisher's Twitter account, the demo's window has officially been extended from 24 hours to one whole week, with Capcom noting that the decision was made due to player feedback.

North American players will now have between May 1 at 5:00 PM PT / 8:00 PM ET and May 9 at 5:00 PM PT / 8:00 PM ET to enjoy the demo, while those in the UK and Europe will have between May 2 at 1:00 AM BST / 2:00 AM CEST and May 10 at 1:00 AM BST / 2:00 AM CEST. To clarify, that doesn't mean players will get to spend longer in the preview itself. The demo will still be locked at 60 minutes, meaning that once the user has run down the clock, their time with the game is at an end. What it does mean is those struggling to find the time to sit down and enjoy the early look at Resident Evil Village won't have to rush to ensure they plug through it in such a short timeframe.

The next demo will be available to players on Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Stadia, and offers both the village and castle demos that recently featured on the PlayStation Store. The former sees players dropped in an early moment from the game, as Ethan explores a desolate area of the village while fighting Lycans and searching for his daughter. The second demo shifts perspective shortly after the conclusion of the village segment, as Ethan enters Lady Dimitrescu's castle and comes face to face with her vampiric daughters.

Each demo takes roughly twenty minutes to complete, so players will be given a little extra time to explore every nook and cranny for additional secrets. The full game launches on May 7 and is already looking to be the biggest addition to the series yet, featuring a roster of creepy villains, an ominous new setting, and a mysterious plot featuring an antagonistic turn for series mainstay Chris Redfield.

Resident Evil Village launches on May 7 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
