While it is certainly not mandatory that Resident Evil Village players collect all of the items in an area, doing so will turn the area blue on the map. In most areas, this is a fairly easy thing to do, though there are some items in the game that can be slightly tricky to find. For instance, there are a couple of items in Resident Evil Village's Courtyard that are quite well hidden, and this guide is here to help fans track them down.
To get right to it, there are five items tucked away in the Courtyard, and many Resident Evil Village players will have already found three of them. These three items are the ones that are hidden inside of the pots near the northwest, southwest, and northeast corners of the area, and they are quite simple to obtain. The remaining two items are where things can get a bit difficult, though, as their locations are not as obvious.
For the first of these remaining items, players should navigate to the south side of the Courtyard. From this position, fans should look up and use their guns in Resident Evil Village to shoot the birdcage that is overhead. This will cause the object to come crashing down and reveal the 1,000 Lei that it contains.
With respect to the second remaining item, Resident Evil Village players should head to the center of the Courtyard and look to the fencing at the southwest corner. Amidst the foliage on the other side of that fencing there is an Herb, and indeed it must be collected in order to turn the Courtyard blue. For full clarity, here is a map that highlights the precise position of this item, as well as the positions of all of the other items in this area:
- Break the pot for five Handgun Ammo.
- Break the pot for one Metal Scrap.
- Shoot the birdcage that is hanging overhead for 1,000 Lei.
- Break the pot for one Rusted Scrap.
- Check the grass past the fence for one Herb.
After collecting all of the Courtyard items, players may want to pass through the nearby Kitchen in order visit the Dungeon. From there, fans may want to take a look inside the Special Chambers, as there is a puzzle to be solved within it. Players that solve the Special Chambers puzzle in Resident Evil Village will be rewarded with the Azure Eye, which can be combined with the Silver Ring to earn an achievement.
