Of the many traps Ethan Winters falls into during Resident Evil Village, perhaps none is quite as sadistic as Donna Benevient's trap. In one second, he's about to get one step closer to putting his family back together. In the next, he's in the midst of full-blown hallucination, his daughter is missing, his inventory is wiped out, there's a surgical corpse on the table, and there is an unkillable monster unleashed nearby. Oh yeah, and the door is combination-locked behind him.
Take a deep breath. There are a ton of puzzles to do in this area, but players should start by getting the door open. They can't finish any of these puzzles without help in the nearby rooms and being trapped is not helpful to solving them and it's not much better at treating claustrophobia either.
Interact With The Surgical Doll
- Take the Silver Key from the right shoulder
- Remove the Blood Covered Ring from the left hand
The first stage of finding the code involves interacting with the surgical doll. Although many parts of the doll will be needed to fully escape the dollhouse, the only two objects required for getting the code are the Silver Key from the right shoulder and the Blood Covered Ring from the left hand. Approach the doll and follow the prompts on the bottom of the screen.
Get The Ring Cleaned Off
- Open the Silver Key door
- Turn on the faucet
- Clean off the Blood Covered Ring
- Inspect the inside of the band of the new Wedding Ring for the code
Despite multiple exits in the room, only one is accessible at this moment. The door is locked, but the symbol is in the shape of the recently acquired Silver Key tells players everything they need to know.
Thankfully, because Ethan's inventory has been wiped, there are only two objects on his person, so it won't be hard to find the only key that he has (the Silver Key) and use it on the door to the neighboring room.
There is a faucet in this room that can be activated. Put the Blood Covered Ring under the running water to clean it off. The item's name will change to the Wedding Ring. Inspect this ring and rotate it until the inside of the band is visible. Memorize these numbers.
Open The Door With The Code
- Return to the room with the surgical doll
- Flip the combination around until it reads 052911
- Open the door
There are still mysteries in these two rooms to uncover, but doing so requires Tweezers and Scissors, which are in other rooms. So to finally unlock the door, backtrack to the room with the surgical doll, go to the door, and put in code 052911. This will unlock the door and allow Ethan to explore more rooms in this trippy dollhouse.
