Resident Evil Village is a game with a lot of replay value. Dedicated fans of the game will make their way through Ethan's campaign multiple times as they conquer higher difficulties and achieve faster speedruns. Along the way, they will earn many satisfying trophies or achievements towards the full completion of the game. One hidden achievement that some players may stumble upon is the Hooligan trophy for breaking every breakable window in Castle Dimitrescu in a single playthrough. This guide will show the locations of all these windows in Resident Evil Village for the intrepid achievement hunters out there.
While breaking all the windows may sound like an arbitrary task, there's actually a gameplay benefit for being a hooligan. Lady Dimitrescu's daughters are weak to cold air. There are various segments throughout the castle in which the player must escape or fight the Dimitrescu daughters, and it will be easier to do so if the windows are broken and the cold is flooding the halls. While it doesn't help when being pursued by Lady Dimitrescu herself, broken windows will still be a boon, particularly when trying to survive higher difficulty modes.
All Breakable Window Locations in Resident Evil Village
As a reminder, the Hooligan achievement only refers to windows within Castle Dimitrescu. There's no need to vandalize other dwellings that can be found elsewhere throughout the game. It's also important to remember that it must be done during a single playthrough, even if players are currently running a New Game+. The maps below will highlight all the breakable window locations throughout Castle Dimitrescu.
There are a total of 20 breakable windows within Castle Dimitrescu. Players who want to earn the Hooligan trophy must break all these windows before engaging the Lady Dimitrescu boss fight. Once the lady of the castle is defeated and Ethan has escaped, there is no coming back for the remainder of the playthrough. Of course, there is the option to load a previous save if the player prefers to save the trophy hunting for another day.

- 2 north of the Kitchen, in the room where Bela Dimitrescu is fought.
- 2 in the Dining Room, one on either side of the door leading to the Courtyard.
- 2F, near Dimitrescu’s Chambers
- 2 above the stairway when ascending to 2F towards Dimitrescu’s Chambers
- 1 in the hall outside Dimitrescu’s Chambers, immediately after climbing the stairs and breaking the previous windows.
- 2 in the same hall as before, but immediately outside the Hall of Ablution.
- 3 on the balcony outside Dimitrescu’s Chambers, two on the left side of the door leading within and one on the right side.
- 2F, near Library
- 3 above the stairway when ascending to 2F towards Library.
- 2 in the room just off of the Opera Hall balcony.
- 1 in the room near the Opera Hall balcony where the Flower Swords Ball is found.
- 1 in the hall just east of the Hall of Joy.
- 1 in the Atelier, which players will break when solving the Atelier puzzle.
