Resident Evil 2 was originally released on the PlayStation in 1998 and later remade in 2020. The plot follows two main protagonists on their individual missions to escape the zombie-infested Raccoon City, although both characters will start and end at the same place and often bump into one another.

Claire is a playable character in Resident Evil 2; during her playthrough, Claire initially searches the RCPD for her brother, Chris, but ends up coming across a lost child, Sherry Birkin, thus shifting her focus on finding her mother and ensuring her safety.

The player will join Claire on her journey to an Umbrella facility situated in Paris, however, her presence there is met with great force, and she is soon captured and sent to Rockfort Island, a remote island, to which she must escape.

The storyline follows the same plot as Code: Veronica, except the gameplay is now timed - if the player runs out of time, Nemesis will begin to hunt them. This game is actually non-canon, with no connection to the Resident Evil timeline as it's based on a nightmare Claire is having after the events of Code: Veronica.

5 Darkside Chronicles (2009)

Darkside Chronicles is an on-rails shooting game made exclusively for the Wii and PlayStation 3, released in 2009. The player will revisit Claire's journey from previous games, making her the main protagonist.

The plot merges together the events on Resident Evil 2 and Code: Veronica, with an additional segment that pieces the two stories together. Whilst this game retells the previous few games story, it is seemingly more focused on the personal stories of its characters instead.

The Mercenaries 3D is a third-person shooter released exclusively on the Nintendo 3DS in 2011. This game doesn't follow a particular story and is rather a mixture of the previous 'The Mercenaries' mini-games featured in both Resident Evil 4 and 5. In this game, the player must defeat as any enemies as possible within a time limit, aiming to reach a high score.

Claire features as one of the game's eight playable characters, however, she can only be unlocked by completing missions 1-3 with a score of 'B' rank or above. The player can also obtain an additional outfit for Claire by achieving 25 medals.

Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City is a third-person shooter released in 2012, set at the same time as Resident Evil 2 and 3 but non-canon to the timeline. The game has two separate storylines, each focusing on a different, opposing, special forces team. One plot follows the Delta Team, an Umbrella Secret Service unit, who have been instructed to destroy any evidence of Umbrella's involvement with the outbreak whilst the other focuses on Echo Six, who work for the U.S. government, who have instead been ordered to search for data that'd incriminate Umbrella.

Claire plays a very minor part in the story; depending on the playthrough, she will either be threatened by the Delta Team into giving up Sherry or encounter the Echo Six team down in the sewers and later saved by them from a mutated T-103, allowing her, Sherry and Leon to escape the city.

Claire Redfield appears once again as one of the game's playable characters and main protagonist for the first half of the game, or first four episodes. The player must help Claire and Moira Burton, her partner and daughter of Barry Burton, escape a monster-infected island.
