Chasing Eveline

Upon entering the guest house, Ethan will begin having flashbacks of his fight with Mia as he encounters ghostly shadows of Eveline. Players should chase the apparition throughout the house, avoiding or blocking hallucinations of Mia when they appear. After encountering the first few appearances of Eveline on the first floor, to head upstairs.

As players approach the attic, they will hear Mia calling for help. Searching the room where Ethan killed Mia in the first act will reveal no one is there, but a ghostly Mia will soon appear behind the player, greeting Ethan with a chainsaw. Head back downstairs, where Ethan will find Eveline in the hallway by the front door to the guest house with the cabinet players used the bolt cutters on previously. A short dialogue will occur, and Eveline will tell Ethan to get the neurotoxin away from her. Head back upstairs to the attic for the final face-off with the bioweapon.

Fighting Eveline

Stage One

When Ethan approaches Eveline upstairs, she will hold her ground and begin attempting to push Ethan back with blasts of debris. Players will need to reach Eveline to administer the e-neurotoxin, pushing through her attempts to keep Ethan away. Periodically, Eveline will charge up a stronger attack that will need to be blocked; otherwise, players will be knocked down and killed in a few moments.

During breaks in these attacks, push forward as much as possible. Ethan will be pushed backward while blocking, so players will need to be mindful of their timing to effectively get in range to grab Eveline. Once Ethan fights his way to Eveline, he injects her with the neurotoxin, removing the hallucinations and revealing that Grandma Baker was the bioweapon. Eveline will dissolve into mold and the second stage of the fight will begin.

Stage Two

Players will now have full access to their arsenal, and there's no better time to utilize any saved-up flame rounds, magnum, or shotgun shells. Players can also grab a box of shotgun shells if they quickly turn around and search the corners of the room. After dealing enough damage to Eveline, she will push Ethan through the wall and into the ground outside. This will briefly knock Ethan out, and push players into the final stage of the fight.

Stage Three

After gathering himself, Ethan will put his weapon back out. Again, players should focus as much damage on Eveline as possible. Be sure to guard Eveline's molded tentacles when she strikes, as movement will be unavailable while Ethan is laying on the ground. Once enough damage is inflicted, Eveline will stab Ethan through the leg and lift him off the ground. Maintain focus and keep shooting her until she drops Ethan back to the ground.

Final Stage: Ending Eveline

At this point, Ethan will receive a call from an unknown number, who instructs him to reach for the weapon crate beside him and use the Albert-01 anti-BOW handgun. Players will not be able to reload this handgun, and will want to ensure shots connect with Eveline's head through the tentacles she is guarding with. After a few good shots, Eveline will begin to crystallize and disintegrate, and the ending cutscenes of the game will begin.
