Players can have a taste of the remade survival horror experience as Resident Evil 4 remake has just released a demo titled "Chainsaw Demo." Ever since the game was first announced, players have been wanting to see if the Resident Evil 4 experience they remember from years ago will still be the same, with only videos to showcase what the game would be like. Since the last showing of Resident Evil 4 remake told of a "Special Demo" coming soon, many awaited the news of its release. Thankfully, they will have to wait no longer.

In the past, Capcom has been well known for releasing demos for past Resident Evil games. The most famous of its demos was for Resident Evil 7, a teaser titled "Beginning Hour," which was a demo that would change as the release date closed in. However, as time went on, and Capcom released demos for the next few games in the series, it made them available for a limited time and even put strict time limits on gameplay. This was a practice that fans did not appreciate, with some even looking for ways to reset the Resident Evil Village demo on PC. After the backlash, Capcom didn't attempt this method for the next few demos, including the Monster Hunter Stories 2 demo.

During the latest Capcom Spotlight, Capcom released a demo for the upcoming Resident Evil 4 remake for all systems. The demo, called "Chainsaw Demo," seems to involve several scenes many Resident Evil 4 players know of, like the fight in the main village where Leon Kennedy encounters the chainsaw man enemy for the first time. The video announcing the demo also shows off some of the newer mechanics available for players to try out such as the already-shown knife parries.

Alongside this news, the trailer also states that this demo will have no time limit on playtime, allowing players to play the demo as many times as they like. There is also no statement on how long players will be able to play the demo, so it seems this demo will at least be available until the game's release, unlike the Resident Evil Village demos that had specific times for availability.

While Capcom already put out a mini prequel game for the Resident Evil 4 remake in the form of an ARG, this demo is sure to allow players to experience what's new and what's improved in the remake of the critically acclaimed survival horror game just before it releases.

Resident Evil 4 releases on March 24 for PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
