Capcom has continued its trend of modernizing the classic Resident Evil games, both updating the content and technology powering the experiences thanks to the RE Engine. While many didn't think it was possible considering how beloved the original game continues to be, Resident Evil 4 Remake seems to build on top of that winning foundation to create something even greater. Both critics and players are in agreement in that Resident Evil 4 Remake is one of the best games of 2023.

Utilizing the foundation from the original game, Resident Evil 4 Remake expands and revises certain scenes, such as the Krauser boss fight, into something that is more exciting and involved from the more quick-time heavy experience of the original. Alongside more modernized control schemes, Resident Evil 4 is also packed with secrets and unlockables for players to discover both while playing as well as unlocking after finishing the base game.

One such unlockable is for unlimited ammo inside of Resident Evil 4 Remake. In fact, there are a few different versions of unlimited ammo that players can unlock, many of which are rewarded for getting through the base game, setting up a potentially more exciting second playthrough.

How to Unlock the Extra Content Shop

While there are multiple ways to get unlimited ammo, the key thing to note is that players will have to finish the game once at the very least. Once the credits have rolled, players will gain access to the Extra Content shop under the Bonus Content menu. While fans can see all of the items listed, they can only be purchased by spending a resource called Completion Points which are earned by finishing challenges and achievements in the campaign.

How to Get Unlimited Ammo

For Resident Evil 4 players that want some of the best unlocks, they'll need to start unlocking the Professional Difficulty option. In addition to finishing the main campaign once, they'll need to do it again another time through New Game Plus to then unlock Professional. This then opens a path to unlocking some powerful weapons with unlimited ammo, in addition to an accessory that will make life much easier.

Unfortunately, unlocking the Cat Ears accessory will take a lot of effort though for some, the work needed may be worth it as it unlocks unlimited ammo for all weapons. Players will need to not only finish the game on Professional Difficulty, but on top of that, they'll need to score an S+ rank to unlock it from the Extra Content Shop. This essentially means that players will have to finish the game in 5 and a half hours or less with only 15 saves used maximum.

How to Get the Unlimited Ammo Rocket Launcher

While unlocking the Cat Ears may prove too challenging for some, there is an easier way to get unlimited ammo for the Rocket Launcher. For players who want to unleash chaos, they'll need to beat the game once and then start again on New Game+. Inside of Chapter 2, visit the merchant after Leon gets his gear back and the Infinite Rocket Launcher will be available to purchase for a hefty sum of 2,000,000 pesetas.

How to Get the Unlimited Ammo Chicago Typewriter

The Chicago Typewriter is essentially a Tommy Gun, and players can get a version that has unlimited ammo. Unlike the Rocket Launcher, getting this machine gun will require a bit of effort as players will need to complete Professional Difficulty with an A ranking.

In this case, players only have 7 hours to get through Professional difficulty, but doing so in less time makes the Chicago Typewriter with unlimited ammo available to unlock from the Extra Content shop.

The final unlimited ammo weapon players can unlock, and it's slightly easier to obtain than the Typewriter. Players will need to finish Professional difficulty without using any bonus weapons like the aforementioned Chicago Typewriter or Primal Knife. However, there's no time or rank requirement, so players can take their time working through this difficulty.
