The main currency in Resident Evil 4 Remake is pesetas. Players who want to use some of the best weapons in the game and upgrade them to their fullest potential will need to have as much money as they can. A handful of these weapons can be expensive, and it's even more expensive to upgrade them.

Thankfully, there are a lot of ways to earn money in Resident Evil 4 Remake. As long as they take every opportunity the game gives them to earn, players will have more than enough to buy every weapon in the game and fully upgrade them. Some of these ways are easier than others, while some will require the player to be a bit more creative with how they approach the game.

8 Face Every Enemy Head On

One of the simplest ways to earn money in Resident Evil 4 Remake is to simply play the game as intended. Face the enemies in the game head on. Don't be afraid of encounters, and only run away when it is absolutely necessary. Killing enemies in the game is a guaranteed way to earn a ton of Pesetas as almost every one of them, including the weakest enemies, will drop pesetas upon death.

This is especially recommended for those who are just starting out. Not only will they receive tons of pesetas this way, but they'll also experience Resident Evil 4 Remake in all of its glory.

7 Destroy Every Breakable Object

There are tons of breakable objects in the game that hide money and other items that players can either use or sell to the merchant. These objects are usually marked by a bright yellow paint. Some also take the form of ceramic pots and vases, especially in the castle.

Whenever the player stumbles upon these, they should always take the time to break them. Not only do they contain money and things the player can sell, they may also contain ammo and crafting materials. Collecting these will help players save their money for weapons and upgrades.

6 Take Advantage Of Charms

There are certain charms in Resident Evil 4 Remake that increase the value of certain items. It's best to equip these charms before selling to the merchant so that the player can get more money than usual. For example, if they equip the Rhino Beetle charm before selling any healing items, they can get 20% more money than they usually would.

Players can get charms from the Token Machine at the shooting range. Other charms that increase the resale value of certain items include the Luis Sera and Leon w/ Shotgun.

5 Purchase Treasure Maps

Players can purchase Treasure Maps for each of the three regions in the game from the merchant for Spinels. Spinels are earned by completing Merchant Requests. Once the player has these, the location of every treasure will appear on the map, allowing players to find them much more easily.

Those who managed to purchase the game's Deluxe Edition also have the luxury of the Expanded Treasure Map, which points them to the locations of treasures that only those who have this map can find. Those who don't have the Expanded Treasure Map won't be able to find these treasures, even if they go to their usual locations.

4 Inlay Gemstones On Treasures

Whenever the player collects gemstones in the game, it is important that they don't sell these. At least, not yet. They should wait for treasures that allow for gemstone inlaying. This will significantly increase the value of the treasure and the gemstones.

For example, the Elegant Crown, once inlaid with five gemstones of different colors, can sell for up to 100,000 pesetas. The other treasures won't go as high as this one, but their value will still be immense.

3 Kill The Animals

Should the player encounter animals such as crows, fishes, and snakes in Resident Evil 4, they should take the time to kill them to collect loot. These animals can drop money and other items the player can sell. Dealing with them is an easy task, and there are several areas in the game where the players can find multiple animals at once. This is a fast and easy way to earn money.

For example, when the player reaches the open area where they fight El Gigante for the first time, they'll find a murder of crows here along with a few dogs. If they throw a flash grenade in the middle of this area, it will kill all the crows nearby, which will net them a ton of money.

2 Sell Unused Weapons and Ammo

If the player has any weapons they don't use anymore, they should sell that to the merchant instead of letting them sit on their briefcase or storage. It's better to turn them into money, and they can be worth a lot, especially if the player has already upgraded them. They can also sell the ammo that goes along with these weapons.

Players can simply repurchase these weapons from the merchant later on if they need it. However, if the weapon isn't used and the player needs more pesetas for another weapon or upgrade, this is a good way of earning money fast.

1 Sell Keys

Another way of earning money in Resident Evil 4 Remake is to sell keys that are no longer useful. This is a mechanic that wasn't in the original but was added to the remake.

At some point in the game, certain keys will become obsolete. For example, the Insignia Key used in the Village will lose its usefulness once the player reaches the castle. By that time, they can then sell it to the merchant for a few pesetas. The player shouldn't fear selling keys to the merchant, because the merchant will only buy them once their usefulness is expired.

Resident Evil 4 Remake is out on the PC, Playstation 4, Playstation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
