When asked about which Resident Evil game is the best in the series, the fourth installment often siting comfortably towards the higher end of that list, many times standing in the number one spot. With its emphasis on action, and its switch to a different camera perspective, it pushed the game into a slightly different direction from its predecessors, and it stands out as an excellent addition to the franchise. Seeing as there are rumors of a Resident Evil 4 remake, it's clear that the fans want to see this game make a comeback.

With that, one Resident Evil fan has managed to find something in their collection which shows off their love of the fourth game. Posting to Reddit recently, user TheBigJorkowski has found an old photograph of themselves dressed up as Dr. Salvador, colloquially known as the 'chainsaw guy.'

The image is a little blurry, with the user saying that the original had been zoomed in for some reason, but the depiction is unmistakable. In the photograph, they are donned in the sack mask, and blue shirt that Dr. Salvador, who is considered one of the hardest non-boss enemies in RE4, can be seen wearing in the game. In fact, one person commented saying that the blurriness of the image actually helped sell the image, as it gave TheBigJorkowski a somewhat pixelated video game look. The image is complete with chainsaw in-hand, although this one is green as opposed to yellow, it's still a very accurate representation of the vicious enemy.

Currently, with Village on the cultural consciousness at the moment, many cosplayers are donning the garbs of characters from the latest game. With one fan showing off their impressive Lady Dimistrescu cosplay, it's interesting that some fans are going back to older games and showing off their own efforts. It shows that RE4 is still beloved among the community sixteen years after the game originally came out.

With hopes of a Resident Evil 4 remake on the horizon, some are saying there is an opportunity to improve on the already well-respected formula for the original. For example, a remake could tweak Ashley's personality, making her a more in-depth character. Whether a remake is actually coming or not doesn't detract from the community, with people like TheBigJorkowski and others rifling through old photographs to reveal some of the cosplays out there that help keep some of the older Resident Evil games alive in some form.
