After months of rumors and a PlayStation Store leak, Capcom has finally announced the long-awaited Resident Evil 3 remake. The game will be coming to PC, PS4, and Xbox One on April 3, 2020, and as is typical with modern game releases, those that commit to buying it early can look forward to some extra goodies. Capcom has confirmed the Resident Evil 3 remake pre-order bonus, which comes in the form of the Classic Costume Pack.

Those that pre-order the Resident Evil 3 remake will get the Classic Costume Pack, which comes with retro outfits for both Jill Valentine and Carlos Oliveira. These outfits are based on the characters' original looks from the PS1 version of Resident Evil 3: Nemesis. Their new looks are fairly similar, but there are some noticeable differences to make them feel more modernized, which is what we saw with the Resident Evil 2 remake as well.

Someone who doesn't appear to be getting any kind of makeover is the titular Nemesis monster. Nemesis is the main antagonist of Resident Evil 3, and there are some fans who aren't happy with his new look. It's possible Capcom will release DLC that will let players fight against a more traditional-looking Nemesis, but that hasn't been confirmed or denied at the time of this writing.

Of course, there will likely be plenty of new content for players to unlock in Resident Evil 3, including more costumes besides the retro ones. Players may also find plenty of new costumes and the like to unlock in Resident Evil 3's multiplayer mode, which comes in the form of Resident Evil: Resistance.

For the uninitiated, Resident Evil: Resistance is an asymmetrical multiplayer game mode where players have to work together to survive various threats that are controlled by a human player. Resident Evil: Resistance comes with every copy of Resident Evil 3, though it's unclear if it will also be available as a standalone experience.

More information on Resident Evil: Resistance and the unlockable content in the Resident Evil 3 remake should come to light as we near the April 3, 2020 release date. Fans of the survival-horror franchise should rest assured that there will be plenty to unlock in-game, though.

Resident Evil 3 launches on April 3, 2020 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
