The Resident Evil 3 remake, despite its short length, is brimming with hidden items no player should miss during their daring escape from Raccoon City. If the player goes through the campaign without picking up the majority of the items below, they will find some of the boss encounters and tougher enemies almost impossible.

On "Hardcore" mode especially, where most bosses take all the firepower Jill has, missing some of these will put the player at a severe disadvantage. Be sure to catch these and make the tough encounters an even playing field. The odds are stacked against Jill and Carlos in this survival horror story, so these items help a great deal.

10 Dot Sight For The Handgun

This add-on for the Handgun increases the starting weapon's accuracy, a welcome upgrade considering how important headshots are. Downtown, there is a safe in the manager's office of the Redstone Pharmacy that comes with a note stating only the queen knows the combination.

Head to the pharmacy in the same area to find a poster that highlights some digits of a phone number, which details the safe's code. To save time for anyone who does not want to go through the trouble of learning the code for themselves, the combination is nine left, three right, and seven left.

9 Moderator For The Handgun

The Moderator silences the Handgun and also greatly increases its chances for a critical hit. The Nemesis drops it if Jill damages the monster while it is in pursuit. Specifically, it drops when Jill finds the beast outside of the Donut Shop, after the cutscene where it infests a zombie.

The Moderator is not the only item players get from The Nemesis, either. Several other important attachments drop from the beast, depending on where the player is in the story.

8 Dual Magazine For The Assault Rifle

Resident Evil 3 dual magazine for Assault Rifle

The Dual Magazine doubles the capacity for Carlos's Assault Rifle. Be sure to grab this while playing as Carlos, because Jill only has access to the same gun on the "Assisted" difficulty mode. In the Nurse's Station room of the Hospital, there sits a safe that can be opened using the combination of nine clockwise and three counterclockwise.

As the name implies, the attachment doubles the Assault Rifle's magazine capacity from thirty-two to sixty-four. This is especially invaluable during the zombie assault on the Hospital shortly afterward.

7 Jewels

Three jewels are hidden around the first area of the game: The Red Jewel is in the safe room of the Donut Shop, the Blue Jewel is in the Supermarket, and the Green Jewel is in the Toy Shop opposite the Supermarket.

Players will first need the Lockpick and Bolt Cutters to reach all of them. Afterward, these jewels can be used to access special items in the Subway, located right next to the first typewriter. Be sure to nab these before restoring power, otherwise, Nemesis will be chasing Jill the whole time.

6 Hip Pouch In The Sewers

Many Hip Pouches are in plain sight. While the one in the Sewers' security room is immediately visible, it is just as easy to miss. After acquiring the Battery and using it on the first door, collect and use it on the door on the upper right corner of the room. Inside is the Hip Pouch and some other goodies as well.

5 ID Card

Brad Vickers bites it early in the campaign, only to show up again as a zombie to infect Marvin, an RCPD officer who shows up in Resident Evil 2.

Carlos can either choose to decimate the poor soul with his assault rifle or let him stay a zombie and go into the Police Station. It is best to take Brad out and snatch his ID, which can be used to open numerous chests scattered throughout the area.

4 Tactical Grip For The Assault Rifle

Like the Dual Magazine, be sure to snag this attachment as Carlos. Even though the time playing as him is short, every little bit helps. This upgrade is found in the Hospital Courtyard, which is accessed by jumping from the second story. One area in the Courtyard has a key required to progress the story, while the other has the attachment.

3 Shell Holder For The Shotgun

The Shell Holder speeds up the reload time of the Shotgun, which comes in handy when facing nimble opponents like the Hunter Beta. It is located in the Hospital's Underground Warehouse in the southernmost part of the room.

Jill will have to activate a lift and the case holding the attachment will be close by. It is easy to access, but equally as easy to miss.

2 Lightning Hawk

Resident Evil 3 Lightning Hawk Location

The Magnum is absolutely essential for the tougher boss fights, especially on "Hardcore" mode. It is located in the Courtyard of the Hospital, but Carlos is unable to reach it.

However, Jill is just small enough to crawl through some debris on the second floor, allowing her to jump down into the area where the Magnum is waiting inside a case.

1 Extended Barrel For The Magnum

This essential attachment for the Magnum makes it an even more powerful weapon. After restoring power to the warehouse and riding the elevator up to the Surveillance Room, go to the top right corner of the room and open the case.

The Extended Barrel will be waiting inside. There is no trickery or puzzle solving to find this one, but non-observant players who don't clear out every room are likely to miss it if they aren't careful.
