The Resident Evil 3 remake is coming in just four months time, and if the Resident Evil 2 remake is any indication, it will likely be a mostly faithful recreation with some minor changes. It's a safe bet that virtually all of the major characters will be returning for the new game, though it's less clear if some of the minor characters will be making an appearance. The full Resident Evil 3 remake cast has yet to be revealed, but Capcom has since confirmed at least one returning minor character.

Resident Evil 3 remake will feature Dario Rosso, a tragic character from the original Resident Evil 3: Nemesis that Jill Valentine encounters early in the game. Rosso is the last surviving member of his family, having just witnessed his daughter being eaten by zombies. Jill tries to convince Dario to join her as she tries to escape Raccoon City, but he is having a mental breakdown and locks himself in a shipping container.

Players are actually able to find the corpse of Dario's daughter, and if they try to talk to him again, he will scream at them to go away. There are more story developments with Dario later on, but we'll avoid discussing them in case those who haven't played the original want to go in to the Resident Evil 3 remake fresh.

The interaction with Dario Rosso in Resident Evil 3 is one of the game's most memorable moments, so fans will be relieved to see it return in the Resident Evil 3 remake. However, it's possible that there may be some changes to it. For example, maybe Resident Evil 3 will let players help Dario this time around, like giving them the chance to prevent his daughter's death or something along those lines.

It's hard to say how significant any Resident Evil 3 remake story changes will be at the time of this writing, but there's already been some indication that story changes could be happening. For example, Resident Evil 2 was updated with new content that suggests that gun shop owner Kendo could be making an appearance in the Resident Evil 3 remake, as he apparently had some interaction with Jill.

Fans will find out about any Resident Evil 3 remake story changes when the game launches in April.

Resident Evil 3 launches on April 3, 2020 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
