The Resident Evil 3 remake demo is available now, giving survival-horror fans a taste of what to expect when the full game launches in a couple of weeks. As is typical of Resident Evil, there are many little details and easter eggs that Capcom has hidden throughout the Resident Evil 3 remake demo, including an in-game poster that appears to be making fun of the poorly-received Resident Evil 6.

The poster was pointed out by AestheticGamer, known for their accurate Resident Evil franchise and horror game leaks. The poster in the Resident Evil 3 remake demo is for a movie called Disaster, and it looks to be mimicking Resident Evil 6 art. Some fans think that this is just a coincidence, but others are taking it as Capcom calling RE6 a "disaster."

Resident Evil 6 was criticized at the time of its release for abandoning the franchise's horror roots almost entirely, pacing issues, and more. The game is generally considered the worst main series Resident Evil game, and that is reflected by its Metacritic review average, which trails behind all of its prequels and sequels. The only main series Resident Evil game that has comparably low review scores is Resident Evil: Revelations 2.

Even though Resident Evil 6 failed to generate much excitement among fans or critics, the game did manage to sell a ton of copies. In fact, Resident Evil 6 is one of the top-selling Capcom video games of all time, surpassed by the likes of Resident Evil 5 and Monster Hunter World.

It's possible and quite likely that the full Resident Evil 3 has even more easter eggs and references for fans to discover. We already know that the Resident Evil 3 remake map is more expansive than the original game, so perhaps some of the new or redesigned areas players will explore will have some secrets to discover.

Luckily, fans don't have too much longer to wait to get their hands on the Resident Evil 3 remake. The Resident Evil 3 remake is just a couple of weeks away, and fans can also look forward to the Resident Evil: Resistance multiplayer beta on March 27 as well. Hopefully Resident Evil 3 lives up to expectations and Capcom continues producing Resident Evil games in this classic survival-horror style.

Resident Evil 3 launches on April 3 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
