The Ritualist Scythe is a Melee Weapon in Remnant 2's The Awakened King DLC that is created by combining two Quest Items. Those items are the Scythe Blade and the Scythe Hilt, both of which can be found on the Lost Commune map in the world of Losomn. This guide contains more details on finding the Scythe Blade and Hilt in Remnant 2, and it will help players use them to make the Ritualist Scythe.
To note, the maps and specific location information below are applicable to the Awakened King's one shot, which eschews Remnant 2's procedural generation in order to give players immediate access to the DLC's content. While fans that have completed the one shot can still obtain the Ritualist Scythe with the help of this guide, they will need to track down the Lost Commune, and its Befouled Altars, in randomly generated versions of Losomn.
Remnant 2: Ritualist Scythe Guide
The first step toward obtaining the Ritualist Scythe is reaching Lonsomn's Lost Commune map. As previously noted, this map is available to players that have installed Remnant 2's The Awakened King, and it is accessible during the DLC's one shot. More specifically, the entrance to the Lost Commune can be found near the beginning of the Forlorn Coast in the Awakened King one shot, and its position has been marked on the following map.
After reaching the Lost Commune, players must locate and destroy two Befouled Altars, structures composed of bodies and wood slats that are surrounded by purple candles. Enemies will spawn as fans damage those altars, using any Remnant 2 weapon, and they will drop the Scythe Blade and Scythe Hilt when they are destroyed. While the aforementioned purple candles make it relatively easy to find the Befouled Altars, here are details on how to reach them in the Awakened King one shot:
Befouled Altar #1
- Start at the mid-map checkpoint.
- Continue forward into the next room, and use the wooden platforms to reach a circular opening on the other side.
- Fall a short distance to enter the next room, turn left, and pass through the circular opening that is ahead.
- Navigate to the bottom of the next room to find the Befouled Altar. Players can see purple candlelight below them upon entering this room.
Befouled Altar #2
- Return to the platform above the first Befouled Altar.
- Pass through the circular opening that is across from where the room was initially entered.
- Climb the ladder, turn left, and climb a second ladder.
- Follow the path to reach a room that is traversed by crossing a narrow wood plank.
- Use the ladder on the left side of the room, follow the path until its end, and carefully fall into the water below. Players will now be on the opposite side of the sluice gate near the troubled Remnant 2 NPC.
- Follow the path across from the sluice gate to reach the second Befouled Altar.
After collecting both Quest Items, players should highlight the Scythe Hilt in their inventory and press the "Inspect" input that appears at the bottom of its tooltip. Fans should then rotate the hilt so that it's bone-covered end is pointing toward them and press the "Interact" input that appears below it. This action will cause a new menu to appear, and Remnant 2 players should select the Scythe Blade to combine the Quest Items and create the Ritualist Scythe.
