Remnant 2 features a variety of locations, areas, and regions that players can discover in their playthroughs. Among the many locations that players can explore, the Beatific Palace is an abandoned zone in the Losomn World. Deadly Fae creatures crawl through the empty hallways of the palace. Additionally, the Beatific Palace is home to a couple of NPCs, namely Nimue and Jester.
As players traverse through the Beatific Palace, they’re going to come across fancy, ornate walls that are actually portals to other areas in Losomn. To progress further in Remnant 2, players need to open all such doors in the Beatific Palace.
Where to Find Magic Quill Doors in The Beatific Palace
Opening the half-painted doors in the Beatific Palace requires the Magic Quill. Players can interact with The Jester to receive this mysterious quest item. The Jester can be found in the basement of the abandoned library, sitting on a heap of bones. As players approach him, he starts a juggling performance. Once he’s done with his jig, The Jester hands the player the Magic Quill. With the Magic Quill in hand, players can unlock four hidden doors in the Beatific Palace.
Door 1
The first hidden door is quite easy to open since it’s available in the same area as the Jester. Players can find the half-painted wall near Jester’s spot and unlock it using The Magic Quill. This door always leads to another area/dungeon.
Door 2
The second door is a little harder to come across. Players need to retrace their steps back to the basement’s library, where they will find an elevator lever. Interacting with the lever brings up an elevator, which players can use to reach the Main Library. As they’re ascending, players should look out for a small opening in the wall. They can jump and head inside this hidden area to unlock another half-painted door.
Door 3
To unlock the third door, players need to go into the Main Library and head towards the right side. This is the most obvious door since it is hiding in plain sight on the bottom floor of the library. The player can simply use their Magic Quill to unlock it.
Door 4
If players take the stairs and head to the top floor of the library, they can find the last hidden portal. However, players may need to jump across some bookshelves and clear the enemies on the second floor before they can access this doorway.
How to Open the Ornate Door in the Palace Courtyard
Apart from the Magic Quill, players will be able to gather a couple more mystical quest items on their journey through the Beatific Palace, such as the Faelin Mural Piece and the Faerin Mural Piece. Both of these unique items are needed to unlock the Ornate Door in the Beatific Palace.
The Faelin Mural Piece can be found on a stand in one of the first accessible rooms, right next to the library. On the other hand, players can obtain the Faerin Mural Piece by picking out the correct card from the Jester’s Card Puzzle in the Malefic Palace.
If players return to the Beatific Palace Library Checkpoint once they’ve reached the Malefic Palace, they will notice that the door next to it has also been unlocked.
Once players have both Mural Pieces, they can head over to the Giant Ornate Door at the entrance of the Beatific Palace. Next, they need to enter the Faerin Mural Piece and the Faelin Mural Piece into their designated floor slots. The Faelin Mural Piece goes on the light side, whereas the Faerin Mural Piece goes on the dark side. After both pieces have been inserted, players can pull the lever to unlock the Ornate Door.
