Bows are a new category of weapon in Remnant 2 that many players may end up completely overlooking. This is because all the bows in the game are hidden behind some sort of secret. This includes the Royal Hunting Bow, the most vanilla out of all bows in the game that trades unique flair for more flexibility.

Unlike many of the game's other types of weapons, the Royal Hunting Bow does not have an Earth-made version. Players won't be able to buy any other bow from Brabus, making this the only one of its kind that can accept weapon mods. Luckily, getting this weapon isn't too hard, and it doesn't involve any complicated secrets like the rest of its kind in Remnant 2.

The Royal Hunting Bow is a weapon made by the Fae, a mystical yet violent race found in Losomn. Players can start their run in this world in either the Beatific Palace or the Morrow Parish; the important thing is they find a castle or a Fae door that leads to the Postulant's Parlor, one of the many possible random dungeons that may spawn in Losomn.

Postulant's Parlor is unique in a couple of ways. First, its map is eerily symmetrical and repetitive. Second, instead of having a traditional boss fight, players will find a creepy statue sitting in front of a board game. Blast through the guards and challenge this statue to a game of literally-cursed tic-tac-toe.

The rules are simple: form a line using the three white pieces on the board while preventing the opponent from forming a line of their own. Losing here inflicts a Curse stack on the player, which reduces their maximum health until the effect is cleansed. Winning instead opens the door behind the statue, revealing the Royal Hunting Bow on an ornate altar surrounded by candles.

As one would expect, the Royal Hunting Bow fires one arrow at a time at a moderately slow pace. This is complemented by its incredibly high damage-per-shot values that can get even higher with the right builds. This weapon is better suited for a long-ranged playstyle with the Hunter Archetype since it offers the best in terms of ranged damage buffs.

Players can equip any mod onto the Royal Hunting Bow, but given its weakness against large groups of enemies, it may be best to use mods with crowd-control effects like Time Lapse and Scrap Shot.

Remnant 2 is available now on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
