In the Remnant 2 DLC, Forgotten Kingdom, there will be varying degrees of danger you are faced with as you explore the new areas. You will also be faced with difficult decisions that could alter the progression of your story and have you walking away with rare items.

Many of the quests you complete could be intertwined with other quests, allowing you to receive double the rewards. However, sometimes these intertwined quests can be more difficult than the initial mission. Luckily, it isn't too difficult to obtain The Burden Hardest To Bear achievement, as it piggybacks off from another quest.

Making The Root Statue Decision In Remnant 2

The Remnant 2 character is submitting to the root and attempting to receive the Burden Hardest to Bear Achievement.

After making your way through the Infected Abyss in Remnant 2, you will come face to face with the Root Statue. You will have to approach him and initiate a conversation to get the ball rolling. He will be giving you a choice to either fight him or submit to him.

Should you submit to The Root in Remnant 2? For the sake of the achievement you're trying to receive, you must submit to The Root. To do this, simply keep the conversation going as long as you can with him until he gives you the choice to fight or submit. Once you submit, he will give you the Profane Soul Stone amulet, which you must promptly equip.

Deny The Eye

The Remnant 2 character is choosing to keep the Profane Soul Stone rather than giving it up to be cleansed.

Switch to the Campaign mode, then travel to the Labyrinth Inner Sanctum. Here, you must head all the way to the top of the stairs and speak with the giant eye, also known as the Keeper of the Labyrinth. He will tell you he can cleanse the item that was forged by corruption. You will be given a few choices, but you must tell him that you are going to keep it.

Return to Root Statue

The Remnant 2 character is being given the Profane Heart by The Root Statue.

Switch the game mode back to Adventure and return to the Infected Abyss to speak with The Root Statue again. Give him the Profane Soul Stone. He will tell you that his sublime power is yours and give you the Profane Heart relic. You should then receive the pop-up that you achieved The Burden Hardest to Bear. This is one of many achievements and trophies in Remnant 2.
