Every piece of clothing a player equips to their Archetype in Remnant 2 will go a long way in keeping them alive, while also granting a few helpful stat buffs too. While most players will be mainly concerned with buying big and bulky chest plate to help their chances of survival during an expedition, gloves are a small but handy piece of equipment that can have a significant impact on how a character is played.

While each of them will provide a certain amount of armor, indicating how durable and effective they will be at defending the player from enemy attacks, they also have a specific weight which will impact a character's movement. Since rolling and sprinting around is so crucial in Remnant 2 for dodging enemy projectiles and physical attacks, it's worth knowing which gloves will prove to be the most useful and viable in the long run.

7 Field Medic Gloves

Field Medic Gloves
  • Armor: Eight
  • Weight: 5

Resistances:

  • Bleed: 2
  • Fire: 0
  • Shock: 0
  • Blight: 1
  • Toxin: 1

Despite being designed for the Medic who usually stays outside of the heat of battle, the Field Medic Gloves are still great for surviving a few extra hits thanks to their armor. The added resistance to Bleed, Blight, and Toxin damage is also a welcome buff, and the best part is, these gloves can actually be acquired easily by trading them with a Whisper for 350 Scrap.

The only real downside to these gloves is they don't offer anything special or unique, but they are definitely still great for the early-game for more passive classes that just need a little extra protection to ensure they can stay alive in a fight. The Medic is actually lucky enough to have these gloves from the outset, but they can be bought for any Archetype.

6 Bruiser Gloves

Bruiser Gloves
  • Armor: 11
  • Weight: 7

Resistances:

  • Bleed: 1
  • Fire: 2
  • Shock: 0
  • Blight: 0
  • Toxin: 1

It makes sense that the Challenger would be the one to spawn with these gloves, considering his whole game plan revolves around getting in and doing as much damage as possible with his gigantic Iron Greatsword. The Bruiser Gloves are one of the best pieces of equipment in the entire game in regard to armor value, but this does mean they have noticeable slow-down effect on the character they're equipped to.

Nonetheless though, for grueling boss encounters or giant swarms, they can be a real lifesaver that can withstand a severe amount of punishment. They can also be bought from Whispers, and are most viable for any Archetypes that benefit from getting up close and personal including the Challenger, Engineer, and the Invader.

5 Red Widow Bracers

Red Widow Bracers
  • Armor: 7
  • Weight: 5

Resistances:

  • Bleed: 2
  • Fire: 0
  • Shock: 0
  • Blight: 2
  • Toxin: 0

The Red Widow Bracers are a little tricky to find, requiring the player to complete the Consort's Puzzle in Yaesha. The effort is worth it because they are one of the most balanced and reliable gloves in the entire game. They may not provide much resistance against any effects aside from Bleeding and Blight, but it's one of the few gloves that still offer this much dexterity while also having a good amount of armor on the side.

When players complete the quest and avoid the many traps set before them, they will stumble upon a coffin containing the entire Red Widow Armor set which altogether provides high resistance to Bleed and Blight, while also still keeping the player fairly light on their feet. Extra elemental resistance definitely would have been appreciated, but this also would have made the Red Widow Bracers a little too strong in-game if this was the case.

4 Nightstalker Gloves

Nightstalker Gloves
  • Armor: 6
  • Weight: 3

Resistances:

  • Bleed: 2
  • Fire: 1
  • Shock: 1
  • Blight: 7
  • Toxin: 0

Remnant 2 doesn't exactly do a great job at explaining what Blight is, despite the fact that players will be encountering it very early on. Essentially, it refers to status debuffs which build up before they actually effect the player, so this would include Suppression, Root Rot, and Curse for example.

The Nightstalker Gloves are one of the best resources for protecting against these irritations, but they also provide low resistance to every other element, making them a great all-rounder. The low armor does mean players still need to keep their wits about them when engaging in combat, but it also allows them to worry far less about becoming infected from enemies like Root Zombies for example.

3 Leto Mark II Gloves

Leto Mark II Gloves
  • Armor: 17
  • Weight: 10

Resistances:

  • Bleed: 2
  • Fire: 1
  • Shock: 2
  • Blight: 1
  • Toxin: 3

One of the only gloves that provides resistance to every single element alongside the Nightstalker Gloves, the Leto Mark II's are undoubtedly one of the best pieces of equipment in the game. It would be expected that since these gloves provide low to mid level resistance to literally everything in the game, they would be incredibly heavy to counteract this protection. Despite that, they actually only have a moderate weight meaning the player will still be able to evade and roll around very easily.

The rusty metallic design of the Leto Mark II Gloves gives them a very battle-hardened appearance which leans into their defensive properties, and finding them is actually fairly easy, simply requiring the player to snoop around Ward 13. So long as the player is on The Labyrinth and have the Biome Portal Key in their inventory, they will be able to reach Leto's Stash by heading down the stairs next to the Fractured Ingress Checkpoint. After hopping through a portal and a little bit of parkor, players will stumble upon Leto's Armor Set which includes the mighty Leto Mark II Gloves.

2 Trainer Bracer

Trainer Brace
  • Armor: 7
  • Weight: 3

Resistances:

  • Bleed: 2
  • Fire: 0
  • Shock: 3
  • Blight: 1
  • Toxin: 1

It's quite astonishing that the Trainer Bracer only has a weight of three considering just how much protection it offers. Alongside an armor rate of seven, which can already allow a player to withstand multiple more hits. Trainer Bracer also provides resistance to nearly every single status effect in the game with a specific focus on Shock and Bleeding.

They might not look that flashy or striking in their appearance, but the Trainer Bracer can make the early game much easier so that players won't need to constantly revert back to the last checkpoint after getting surrounded by a bunch of Root Zombies. Because of the astonishingly low weight, it also means these gloves can be used on just about anyone, so picking them up from a Whisper for a measly 350 Scrap is well worth doing in the first few hours.

1 Labyrinth Gauntlets

Labyrinth Gloves
  • Armor: 19
  • Weight: 10

Resistances:

  • Bleed: 0
  • Fire: 3
  • Shock: 4
  • Blight: 0
  • Toxin: 0

Offering the highest armor rate by far, along with a moderate-level resistance to Shock and Fire, the Labyrinth Gloves are very much designed for the mid to late game, but they are undoubtedly still an incredible piece of equipment. The 10 weight does mean players will need to be cautious of their movement, but considering just how much protection is granted here, that really doesn't matter as much.

The real reason these gauntlets stand out though is that they allow players to use their Skills and Weapon Mods much more freely, something that can be extremely tricky when sprinting around trying to dodge projectiles. The squishier zombie-like enemies in Yaesha don't tend to have many Shock effects, but later worlds and bosses will use it a lot more frequently, which is why the Labyrinth Gauntlets become far more useful the further into the story the player is at that time. The Archon class will actually start the game wearing the Labyrinth Gauntlets which is incredibly generous considering they trump every other pair of gloves when it comes to protection.

Remnant 2 is available now on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S.
