The Archon is the last Archetype to be discovered by players in Remnant 2, and it offers a variety of passive effects that greatly enhance the consistency of Weapon Mods. While playing as an Archon, players will be able to use their weapons' special attachments more often while providing allies with some much-needed support.

Like other character types in Remnant 2, the Archon is more than capable of carrying themselves in a fight. With the right weapons, Traits, and accessories, players will be able to steamroll through the game's hardest challenges so long as they remain mindful of how Archons are meant to fight, which is something that this guide aims to explain.

Remnant 2 Archon Build

The Archon Archetype from Remnant 2

Sticking true to the Archon's identity, this build focuses on Mod Power with some inclination towards Skills. Archons have innately high Mod Power generation thanks to their traits, and this loadout aims to elevate that even further through Mutators and accessories.

The Challenger is a good secondary Archetype choice since it buffs all damage so long as enemies are within proximity. This effect buffs the damage dealt by Havoc Form, making it great for players who want to go down this route instead of using the defensive utility offered by Reality Rune. The latter is more useful in situations where players find themselves overwhelmed by incoming attacks, so feel free to switch things up when needed.

As for weapons, the Chicago Typewriter is an excellent pick thanks to its high fire rate, decent base critical hit chance, and large ammo capacity. When paired with a fully upgraded Momentum Mutator, this weapon is capable of dealing tons of damage with one full magazine, turning it into an effective boss killer and horde-slaying tool. Players can pick any Hand Gun and Melee Weapon, though the ones recommended above are great for general play.

The Chicago Typewriter in Remnant 2

Any of the ammo infusion mods (Hot Shot, Corrosive Shot, Overflow) are great for this build as they all trigger the Mod Power generation effect from Stone of Malevolence. Overflow matches the Archon's lightning theme, and players will be able to get more out of that and Havoc Form if they use the Grounding Stone ring.

The Spirit Wisp Amulet reduces the cooldown of Skills every time players spend 300 Mod Power. With the Stone of Malevolence, players will be able to easily regain the Mod Power needed for their ammo infusion mod of choice, creating this positive feedback loop of constant Skill cooldown reduction and Mod Power generation.

This interaction between ammo mods and the Stone of Malevolence may not be an intended effect. If this ever gets nerfed, players should switch to using the Enigma to maintain the loop.

The rest are self-explanatory. More Skill cooldown reduction with quality-of-life improvements via the Siphoner and Handling Traits. Players should be fighting with their chosen ammo mod active at all times while using their Skills in opportunities that demand them.

Remnant 2 is available now on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
