Upon locating the trapped civilians in Redfall's Dead in the Water mission, players will be instructed to turn on the Fire Station power. While this is not an extremely difficult task to complete, some fans may be slightly confused about how they are intended to restore power to the station. This guide is here to address that confusion, and players that read on should have no trouble turning on the Fire Station power in Redfall.

Redfall: Restore Power to the Fire Station

Players that are attempting to restore power to the Fire Station should set their sights on the building's first floor. Here, fans will encounter a fire truck, and there is a flight of stairs in the corner to the north. Players should use these stairs to descend into the station's basement, and they can turn on the power by interacting with the switch near the electrical meters on the far wall.

To note, this switch is not the only thing that players will encounter in the Fire Station basement, as there is also a vampire in the area. To defeat this enemy, players must use a weapon that has a stake attached to it, and fortunately there is one on the ground nearby. While this is certainly not the most powerful weapon in Redfall, it is perfectly capable of dispatching the lone vampire.

After defeating the vampire in the basement and turning on the Fire Station power, players should make their way up to the second floor and knock on the door to release the trapped civilians. This action will mark the end of Redfall's Dead in the Water mission, and fans will receive a small amount of XP as a reward for their efforts.

Additionally, players that complete the Dead in the Water mission will receive a base of operations in the form of the powered-up Fire Station. From this base, fans can initiate missions and purchase important items, and they will respawn inside of it if they happen to perish while exploring Redfall's open world.

Players will not always have to respawn at the Fire Station, though, as there are many respawn locations to unlock on the map. Those locations manifest as Safehouses in Redfall, and fans must activate them before they can be put to use. This activation process centers around interacting with generators in the vicinity of the buildings, and while it is typically quite straightforward, there are a handful of Safehouses that can be a bit tricky to unlock.

Redfall is available for PC and Xbox Series X/S.
