While blasting and staking their way through the ferociously fanged felons along the streets of Redfall, players will find a variety of food and supplies to keep them in shape for battle, including the occasional popcorn stand. These stands contain some untouched fresh popcorn that can be consumed to restore a small amount of health. Unfortunately, once all the popcorn at the stand is gone, players are forced to return to the bloody and butter-less city around them. All hope is not completely lost, as players will have the opportunity to repair a broken popcorn machine for use at the firehouse in Redfall Commons, where they can enjoy a rejuvenating snack between missions.
Where to Find the Broken Popcorn Machine in Redfall
After completing the first few main missions, side missions will become available to Redfall players throughout the map - these are designated as a gray exclamation point on the player HUD compass. To begin the side mission to repair the popcorn machine, players will want to proceed to the lower level of the firehouse, turning around immediately at the bottom of the stairs.
On the metal shelves under the staircase, a popcorn machine can be found, along with a note from Dr. Hunt claiming the parts to this machine could be found in town if someone had the time to look. Players will then want to begin heading toward the Overton Theater in the Old Town neighborhood. If already unlocked, players can use the Old Town safe house to quickly travel back a majority of the way toward the theater.
Once inside the theater, players will want to turn right and head towards the concession stand, and if low on health, there is popcorn behind the counter for a quick pick-up. Head through one of the doors at the edge of the back counter to the kitchen storage area and a staircase that descends under the theater.
At the bottom of the stairs, take an immediate left through the double doors into the maintenance rooms, where players will find some washing machines to their left, a water heater and some shelving units to their right, and a concrete hallway directly in front of them that leads to an old dressing room.
While exploring the shelving by the water heater, players will find another broken popcorn machine alongside a popcorn repair kit highlighted in gold. Simply approaching the repair kit and interacting with it will add it to the inventory. When players are finished exploring in this area, they can fast travel back to the Redfall firehouse.
Back at the firehouse, players will find the popcorn machine has relocated itself. However, it can be easily located by standing in the empty truck space in the main garage, facing away from the garage doors. To the right of the row of lockers, players will find a table with the popcorn machine highlighted in blue and will begin a brief repairing process after pressing the interact button while nearby. Now the machine has been repaired, the Intermission Snack side mission will be complete, and any player in the game can pop up a fresh batch.
