Redfall is not the kind of game that is designed to be beaten and then left behind. The game is Arcane's take on the live-service genre, welcoming fans of first-person shooters to play and replay levels. There are plenty of incentives to do just that.

Still, some gamers will only be interested in the story crafted in Redfall. After they beat the story once, that's all they're interested in. A third group will be diligently attempting to get all of the achievements and find every secret. This is all stated because the length of the game will depend on the playstyle of the gamer. This article will attempt to give players a ballpark estimate of the time it takes to win for each kind of player.

A special thank you goes out to HowLongToBeat.com for tracking the gameplay times on this game and so many others.

How Long To Beat Redfall

Redfall Taking Blood In Intro
  • Main missions only: 12 hours
  • All missions and side missions: 22 hours
  • Completionists: 29.5 hours

Difficulty settings will certainly impact the time it takes to get through Redfall, but on the standard "Dusk" difficulty this should be about accurate. Players attempting to blaze through the content may find that the easy "Daylight" difficulty wills have a few hours off of their time.

Some of the achievements can be tough to earn and will likely require lots of playthroughs on some of the levels, so just prepare for that. Using the right character can help the player withstand any vampiric horrors and will make the completionist venture a tad quicker.

Gamers that want to enjoy all of the new features shouldn't feel rushed to win immediately. The community is divided on if this is officially a live-service game or not but the style definitely fits. If gamers find they miss an important item, go back and get it. The game will take multiple play sessions to get through anyway and those who rush through the process are probably missing the point of playing.

Redfall is available now for PC and Xbox Series X/S.
