One of the most anticipated games of 2018 has finally arrived and as players are discovering, Red Dead Redemption 2 serves as an evolution of the franchise rather than a simple sequel. For a game that pushes more realistic aspects including taking care of Arthur's horse, cleaning weapons that are used often, and even making sure to bathe every now and again, Red Dead Redemption 2 does feature a few fantastical elements as well. Treasure hunters can actually come across a set of gear based on the Vikings. Here's how to find it.

As detailed in a new video by Arekkz Gaming, the Viking Set in Red Dead Redemption 2 can be found by simply exploring the world and knowing where to look. Both items can be acquired in a location called the Old Tomb not far from the town of Annesburg. Both can be found near the top, right-hand corner of the map in New Hanover, and players will want to go beyond the river to the Northwest of Annesburg and south of the letter "R" in Roanoke Valley. As players approach the area, the Old Tomb will appear made out of stone. The Hatch can be found on the stone table, while the Helmet can be grabbed down the hallway sitting on a shelf.

The Viking Hatchet, one of Red Dead Redemption 2'sunique weapons hidden in the world, also has special properties that set it apart from other weapons. In addition to being a traditional melee weapon, players can also use it as a throwing device as well for long distance kills. While it may not look quite as cool as Kratos' Leviathan Axe, Red Dead Redemption 2's Viking Hatchet does look as though it was ripped out of that time period with Nordic patterns and bound in leather.

It goes without saying that Red Dead Redemption 2 is an absolutely massive game and features plenty of secrets for players to discover during their playthroughs. In fact, Rockstar Games continued its longstanding tradition of enabling classic style cheat codes that players could enter, a feature that is sadly falling by the wayside in favor of DLC or paid unlocks. Keep in mind that activating any of the known cheat codes like infinite ammo will prevent story progress as well as disable trophies and achievements, so players are urged to make a separate save file first.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is available now for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
