Red Dead Redemption 2 is well established as one of the most immersive games ever released thanks to a huge, expansive world that  Rockstar has managed to fill in with neat details and interesting Easter eggs. Unfortunately, this meticulous attention to detail makes even minor bugs much more jarring. To that end, a long-standing bug in Red Dead Redemption 2 has become the hilarious subject of one Redditor's video.

Any player knows how important the camp is within Red Dead Redemption 2. It's an essential part of progress, and players will naturally find themselves visiting the camp numerous times throughout any playthrough helping Arthur to fast travel, rest, and resupply in between missions. Unfortunately, a bug can also cause the camp inhabitants to endlessly pester Arthur about his clothing choices, suggesting he find warmer clothes.

To make matters worse, Arthur's current attire makes no difference at all. A player can be wearing The Ghost Bison outfit, a fur-laden outfit that is one of the warmest outfits in the entire game, yet it makes no difference. Redditor, yeitsbobby, showcases the bug at its absolute worst in their video. The camp inhabitants don't simply mutter the line occasionally in passing, instead, they chase Arthur with so many reminders to dress warmly that it would put most grandmothers to shame.

While the video was well-received by commenters, some among the crowd were fed up with the unaddressed bug. Though it's unclear exactly how long the problem has been in the game, a few players suggested that it was accidentally implemented during a patch way back at the end of December, meaning the bug has sat for nearly half a year at this point. In a game that pays attention to tiny details, like showing where the firing pin struck a bullet during a player's reload, or Arthur gently singing to his horse during a long ride, the annoying camp glitch is hard for some to ignore.

In lieu of an official fix from Rockstar, fans may need to rely on modding to fix the problem. Red Dead Redemption 2's community is gaining a reputation for their ingenuity. Just last week, a mod called "Cold Bug Glitch Fix" was uploaded onto NexusMods and purports to fix the problem for players. There are plenty of other mods that enhance the Red Dead Redemption 2 experience including one that allows players to ride giant animals and one that turns the player into a gunsmith.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
