A Red Dead Redemption 2 player has noticed an incredible detail about the hunting camps included in the game. Hunting camps are quite a small part of the Red Dead Redemption 2 experience, but Rockstar has still spared no expense in ensuring they're as detailed as the rest of the game.

Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption 2 has been acclaimed over the years for its stunning commitment to detail, with a level of realism that has arguably yet to be matched by any other video game. Because of this, gamers are continuing to discover brand-new details in the game, even almost five years after its initial release. One player even noticed a Red Dead Redemption 2 detail after 1900 hours of playtime, so it's not just new players discovering this sort of thing. With the vast amount of effort put into the game, it's unknown if gamers will ever be able to fully discover every nuance that Rockstar included in its game.

This particular detail was pointed out by Redditor Felwinter_II, who discovered that the animals that are strung up at hunting camps aren't simply props - players are able to interact with them, taking the carcasses for themselves. In so many other games, these would have been purely decorative. But Rockstar has managed to create one of the best open worlds of all time with Red Dead Redemption 2, and it would have been uncharacteristic of the game to have not allowed players to interact with these particular animals.

Some of the other players in the thread were just as confused as the original poster. Some however were already aware of the small detail, with another pointing out that it serves as a great way for players to obtain perfect animal carcasses in the game. Red Dead Redemption 2's Master Hunter challenges are some of the more infuriating that players have to partake in to get 100% completion, so it seems that this particular detail has more use than many players initially thought. For others with no interest in 100% completion, this will just be another immersive part of the Red Dead Redemption 2 experience.

Gamers will be hoping that Rockstar is able to recreate the amount of detail featured in Red Dead Redemption 2 in the upcoming GTA 6. It does seem as though Red Dead Redemption 3 is many years away from being available to gamers, so in the meantime, gamers will have to get comfortable with the idea of exploring a more modern Rockstar experience than another Western any time soon.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
