A Red Dead Redemption 2 player has shown off a gruesome glitch that shows arguably the toughest NPC in the whole game. Among all the cowboys and gunslingers found in Red Dead Redemption 2, there are plenty of tough characters in the game, but this one tops the list.

Over the years, gamers have found plenty of interesting glitches in Red Dead Redemption 2. While the game has been critically acclaimed for its attention to detail, it's inevitable in games that size that some issues slip through the net and make it into the final product. One recent Red Dead Redemption 2 glitch even flings players all the way to Guarma, and yet this one is arguably even stranger for players to experience.

The bizarre Red Dead Redemption 2 glitch was posted by Redditor ___The_Hjonkening___ and shows the player shooting an NPC point-blank in the face with a shotgun. It's a great showing of Red Dead Redemption 2's brutal headshots, and their head explodes. However, rather than dying, the NPC is completely unfazed by the situation. Instead, they walk up to the player and slap them in the face for the inconvenience, before walking off headless as if nothing has happened.

It's certainly one of the more bizarre glitches that players have discovered in Red Dead Redemption 2. Players in the thread made light of the strange situation, with one describing it as "mind-blowing." Another made reference to Red Dead Redemption 2's story, claiming that "Sean was overreacting" when he was killed by a headshot in the Clemens Point Chapter of the game. Red Dead Redemption 2's glitches have come in many forms, but this one is so oddly hilarious that it's easy to overlook just how gruesome the whole situation is.

After almost five years since its release, it's great that gamers are still discovering brand-new things in Red Dead Redemption 2. With Rockstar occupied with the ongoing development of GTA 6, it seems as though it could be a while until any potential Red Dead Redemption 3 is released. With the brilliant sales of the previous iteration of Rockstar's cowboy western franchise, it would be an enormous surprise if the developer decided against going forward with a new game in the series once the resources are available to give it the attention it deserves. Right now though, gamers will need to exercise patience as they have done with the GTA franchise over the past decade.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
