Red Dead Redemption 2 Metallic Remnants Of A Meteorite

While some of the Easter eggs in Red Dead Redemption 2 are creepy, some can be fun finds that make for interesting side quests. RDR2's meteorite side quest earns players an interesting in-game buff, and it's very easy to do. In order to start delving through the map for these space rocks, players need to first know what to look for. As in real life, these meteorites crashed on Earth and made a mess in the process. Players will need to look for ground that has been disturbed in order to pick up the pieces of the RDR2 meteorite.

Meteor House: Location of the First Meteorite in Red Dead 2

The first RDR2 Meteorite can be found in Meteor House. This little house is located in the northeastern-most part of the Red Dead Redemption 2 map, to the west of Brandywine Drop in the Roanoke Valley. It is directly south of the Abandoned Trading Post.

There will be a little house here; players will need to enter Meteor House where they will find the previous owners of the home struck by a meteorite. If players can stomach digging through the mashed-up human body parts scattered around the room, they will find the first meteor buried in the smoking hole in the floor.

After the Meteor House, players will want to head a little to the northwest. Buried in the trees is a round, cleared piece of land, stripped of all grass and plant life. In the center of it is a hunk of space rock. This is where Red Dead Redemption 2 players will find the second piece.

Once in possession of the second piece, players will gain a buff that reduces heat exposure in hot environments. While the description of the meteorite in their inventory says to sell the rocks, it's better to hold onto them for the buff; they only sell for $30 a piece. There are way better ways to farm gold in RDR2 than that, so hold onto these rare artifacts.

Location of the Third Meteorite in Red Dead 2

RDR2-Unknown-Location

The location of RDR2 meteorite number three is a complete mystery; it's one of Red Dead 2's biggest secrets. Players have been scouring the map looking for it, but it appears to be exceptionally well-hidden. Although the inventory listing of the meteor says that players have "two out of three," no one has found the third in game just yet. Hopefully, someone will be able to find it soon; it may end up that it gives an even bigger heat reduction that just the two pieces.
